the food here is great. the fried chicken here is so crispy and juicy. i have been to a lot ofkoreanrestaurants to try fried chicken and so far this is one of the best. the customer service here is great as well. staff are attentive and food comes out real fast even considering that they are busy and have groups!. overall i love the vibe of this place. i would definitely come again some time.

we were on the hunt for akoreanplace that was open late and did takeaway, which was how we stumbled upon this restaurant. first of all the portions were huge and our group of 4 struggled to finish both dishes. we ordered the tteokbokki + nanban chicken both of which came with some nice little sides. i love lotus chips and couldn't stop reaching for them. if you like asmr you need to take a crunchy bite into the crisp deep fried perilla leaf that's included with the tteokbokki. by far the best spicy rice cakes i've had in a while, and they were piping hot when we collected them!

finally got a chance to dine here! usually this place is way to busy for walk ins but we got lucky this time.

firstly love the atmosphere here really takes you out of auckland and into a very metro vibe.

our table was quite small so we wanted to order more between the two of us but our waiter suggested we only order two dishes to fit which was a bit sad. and the lighting wasn’t all that great for photos.

anyway, the food was amazing. i’d highly recommend trying the eggs here they’re absolutely delicious 11/10 😋 the rosemary chicken was also very interesting and had a good kick to it. not the usual that you would expect from akoreanrestaurant but still good. we go the seafood soup which had a lovely soup base and plenty of fish cake and condiments, no spice at all but a very good seafood soup.

as beverage we got the watermelon sangria and that was really good! tastes very similar to a melona ice cream if you know what that is, definitely will be ordering that again.

loved this little joint, i’d say you definitely need to book a few days in advance as they only open from 5pm onwards. perhaps if they had an online booking system it would help, either way worth the try if you can get in! ☺️

thekoreanfried chicken was good. portions were great for the price. the seasoning was a little on the bland sides but it came with a selection of sauces to help make up for it. fries were alright, nothing special, had a good seasoning on it but were really soggy from being steamed in a closed cardboard box - but thats not really a fault of the food itself. would definitely be interested in visiting in person some time.

really good food, nice vibes, friendly and helpful staff! we ordered a couple of sojus, 2 rice wines, and 2 beers, along with 4 mains. it came to a total of $235 which is pretty standard for akoreanbar. we got the kumara pizza (so good, favourite!), spicy rice cake with cheese, fish cake pot, and dak gang jung. the portions are quite big and we were stuffed with 5 people. the dishes are not that authentic, i'd say they have a lot more sugar and cheese in them, but that's why they were so addictive and different; all dishes also have a lot of extra toppings (like the spicy rice cakes had extra dumplings etc). the dak gang jung is a nice alternative to your usual kfc. keen to try out their other options!

unique entrance in the shape of a vending machine. the inside vibe was great - filled with youth and fun! the food was alright - slightly expensive but expected at akoreanbar in auckland. it was great that the toilets were equipped with makeup tools for the ladies! overall good experience and would return :)

seoul night✨ a hidden gem in fort lane. their entrance can be a little tricky to find😅 great vibes, loved the neon signs, and mural onkoreandrinking culture. a great place for a night out with casual drinking and authentickoreanbites 🍗🍻 other than the soju + beer mix suggested on the wall, it was also tasty mixing their sodas with fruit sojus, we tried 🥛milk soda + peach soju and it tasted delicious!
one dish i highly recommend getting @seoulnightnz is their 🍡🍡rice cake skewers + deep fried eggs🥚, this street food snack combo is the bomb 💥
💲price $30/person (also on @gifticon_official for discounted prices)

food was super delicious! we ordered rosemary chicken, original fried chicken, steak-chop, fish cake soup and something else i cant exactly recall. every single dish stood out on its own. rate them 10/10 for taste, texture, presentation and portion. each person of our group paid 18 bucks only and felt content. it was the best dining experience so far out of allkoreanrestaurants in auckland. the waiters and waitresses who served us were also sincere and considerate. highly recommend!

we had the spicy chicken and melted mozzarella cheese⁣⁣. the spicy chicken itself is good but the mozzarella cheese tasted a bit weird and has a slightly almost chalky texture. it tasted like cheap supermarket bought mozzarella cheese. ⁣

we also got the originalkoreanfried chicken. the chicken was fried and seasoned well, golden brown and crispy on the outside. by itself it was your usual plain fried chicken which is good but what made it stand out was the garlic, soya sauce and honey dip on the side along with the pickled radish. the sweet plum sauce tasted a bit weird to me.

the last dish was the ramyun, we got it because my girlfriend said she wanted something soupy and i read one of the reviews here that said the ramyun was not the regular ramyun but the restaurant did something to it that made it taste really good and way better than regular ramyun. boy, that review couldn't be more off point. it was just regular ramyun with an egg and spring onions on top. probably the most expensive ramyun i've ever eaten at $9. we joked that the person who wrote the review must be high or drunk or something to think that the ramyun was way better than regular ramyun.

service was top notch even if it was busy. the waiter came and replaced the water jugs frequently, the food came out quick and the waiters were friendly and helpful.⁣

i have been to this place three times now, and each time was thoroughly enjoyable. the staff are friendly, the environment is dim and moody (not the best for photos but sets the ambience well). the food is generally well-portioned and tastes great.

i would recommend the fried chicken, the spicy rice cake, the crispy pork belly, and the rice cake side.
drinks wise, the soju is priced alright at $16 a bottle. the jugs are also reasonably priced but very, very sweet and not with a lot of alcohol in them. of the jugs, i would recommend the lemon crush as it tastes like lemonade.

overall, would definitely recommend this place for a group booking as the dishes are sharing portions. also make sure everyone can enjoy spicy food as some of the dishes are relatively spicy (but this is normal for manykoreandishes).

p.s. the bathrooms are very nice and well-stocked with amenities. have also heard the mens bathroom has a touch-screen mirror. (just a nice touch)
