really cute restaurant in delray with incredible authentic neapolitan pizza. highly recommend the award winning keste' w/ incredibly tender prosciutto, gran cru cheese, freshmademozzarella, and arugula.

the crust was so good - flavor and texture - that it could stand alone as a meal. truly, this pizza was perfect. there was no soupy puddle as found in the center of poorlymadeneapolitan pies. it was flawless, each bite was a revelation as the flavors and textures played off each other. easily the best neapolitan pie i've ever had; more later on comparing this to other pizzas.

great is simply great. we used to go to chef roberto caporruscio's restaurants in pittsburgh and suffered great depression when he left to conquer new york city. which he has, with his two fine restaurants, keste and don antonio. now, thenks to a transplanted pittsburger (sharon) roberto has added south florida and delray beach to the few places on the planet, outside of naples, where people can have really incredible pizza,madewith imported flour, homemade cheeses, and the finest local ingredients available. and, yes, it's all in there!!!!

genuine neapolitan pizza fantastico!. the pizza is the best in the area. fresh housemadeingredients and a wood burning oven and a master pizzaioli make an outstanding small pizza as you would enjoy in italy. pizza choices aremadewith quality ingredients and are delicious. good selection of salads and appetizers too. wish they would offer some pasta dishesmadein the wood oven. for true pizza afficionados, this is the place.

close to my roots. finally , after months of anticipation, scuola vecchia opened its doors to the public. and, let me tell you.....it was worth the wait! my wife and i were quickly greeted by the owner , his beautiful mom and later, his wonderful dad. we ordered the classic neapolitan margherita with fior di latte cheese (madeon premises). later ,we finished with an authentic tiramisu and espresso. the taste was incredible and undescribable. this is naples ,italy in florida. the service was unprecedented in delray. we were never left unattended. and , then as if we hadn't had any surprises, the owner introduces us to the master pizzaiolo from keste pizzaria in nyc. he is carefully supervising the making of this wonderful pizza.
if you don't visit scuola vecchia, you are depriving yourself of a delightable experience. this place is the model by which all other pizzarias should imitate.
