i will never come to miami beach again without going to scarpetta. the food is incredibly delicious. the bread alone is worth the trip.my wife had the pappardella in a fabulous ragu, and she loved it. she is usually hard to impress at a restaurant. i had a beautifully prepared bistecca that would make the people of florence take note. i heartily recommend this place at the fontainebleau hotel.

italian my favorite!. i know scott,, the chef from the hamptoms and then in nyc. all his restaurants are amazing and the food extraordinary. however, the location of this restaurant is unique. being literally in the beach makes a huge dinner. the food is delicious with very moderate portions as it should be. the brunch, in my opinion is the best in miami! cant wait to come back

credit card policy!. about 6 wks ago, 11 of us ran up a tab of $1800, but the waiter and manager refused to accept individual credit cards. there was nothing on the menu stating a maximum number of cards (which the manager said was 6) and they refused to split the food and liquor bills and then use 6 and 5 cards for payment. they expected us to be walking around with at least $200 cash and were not nice about trying to settle the problem. although the food and service were excellent, the waiter was a bit pushy, suggesting more food than was necessary - however, because of the manager's attitude and refusal to accept more than 6 credit cards for payment, none of us plan to ever come back (we are physicians and 3 of us live in miami or miami beach). furthermore we have told our colleagues about what happened, discouraging them from bringing any groups to the restaurant.

we ordered the tasting menu, but instead of a collection of tastes of the menu, you get the mains served in their original portions. we lost our appetite just because of the huge plates... some of them were also served cold. in short: definitely overrated.

a fine restaurant of average ambience, the vegetarian variety was limited but delicious, especially the ravioli and mushroom rissotto, quite reasonable value.

well i never was a fame of sweets no matter how much seductive it is,yet this place was geniuly capable to make it happen after the numerous insisting of my brother in law 🤣🤣🤣 the taste is so yummy had to take 2 of them (yeah am a beast) 😅😅😅😅

inside the iconic fontainebleau hotel we find the no less famous restaurant scarpetta, which under the direction of chef scott conant, has established itself as a baseline for italian cuisine in miami.


scarpetta offers renowned dishes from the regional italian cuisine and culinary creations that embody the simplicity and refinement of its gastronomy; as a matter of fact, scarpetta is recognized for its tomato sauce and basil spaghetti that led its creator to fame for its genuine italian taste.

the wine list is wide-ranging and diverse. the service is amicable and dedicated. open for dinners too, scarpetta is ideal for big groups and romantic dates.

the restaurant features an unassuming, yet elegant décor and a classy ambience in which it is not uncommon to run into renowned celebrities from the showbiz.

hit: it’s hard to choose a favorite dish over the famous and classic scarpetta spaghetti. because i wanted the best of both worlds, i had someone else order it and i also tried the oven roasted chicken (simple yet elegant, and flavorful). key words: sharing is caring!. another positive, and this is a big one for the fomo miamians, portions have been kept the same for the miami spice menu. it’s a big deal considering the spaghetti alone is $24 off the regular menu.

we dined at scarpetta a couple of times during our stay in miami, and i liked the vibe of the restaurant (plus fontainebleu is my most favourite place to stay) more than the food. 

i was told that the tomato and basil spaghetti is out of the world - although its good, its definitely not worth the price. the other pasta options are quite good though.

pretty was good food ( it's miami food is over priced and very small portions). i've certainly are at much better restaurants and the service wasn't very good. the foie gras homemade ravioli were very good, polenta just okay, short rib appetizer was decent, mushroom pasta average a little bland, tomato basil spaghetti was good, my cousin had the filet i didn't try it but it looked tasty. i'd possible come back again but nothing blew me away

our first day in miami, which also happens to be my girlfriends birthday! i was looking for something local but special and i think i found one! firstly, they have a dedicated vegetarian menu - so that was a winner to start with. upon arrival, i was impressed with the setting of the restaurant. you wouldn't normally rate a hotel restaurant that much but this delivered.
service - the wait staff were attentive and catered very well to our needs. i informed them that it was my gf's birthday and they delivered by wishing her a happy birthday on arrival and a candle on the dessert! nice touch!!
food - we had the lentils, yellowtail tartare for starters, risotto and the pork chop for mains and chocolate cake with nutella centre and gelato for dessert! the food tastes delicious and amazing!!!
overall, great service! great wine selection! great food!

wow. what an amazing meal from chef marlin. we had the tasting menu and everything was too notch. our server eddy was the best.

we finally got around to trying the fabled scarpetta that our foodie circle raves about and took the tongue plunge. the ambiance was exalting, the service impeccable, the soundtrack melodic, and the food was great, too.

after promenading past the seductive bar and the beautiful people drinking at it, we were seated in a luxurious dining area. before we even ordered our fare, a tasty basket with an assortment of fresh hot, straight-from-the-oven bread was delivered to our table, including a stellar eggplant dip, oil and butter. the favorite was a concoction of thin sliced salami layered into the bread with tomatoes.

we ate at scarpetta twice during our stay at fountainbleau. the restaurant is nice, the service very good. the food is excellent. everything we had was good.

duck & foie gras ravioli: quite the opposite of the simple spaghetti, this homemade ravioli was complex and decadent. a rich duck and foie filling was stuffed into small tender half-moon shaped ravioli and tossed in an equally rich and flavorful marsala reduction. this pasta was really special and not like anything else you'll try at a run of the mill italian restaurant.
