best in indiana. best italian place in fort wayne - actually, best in indiana! the food is wonderful and the service is just as good! we have only lived in the area for about a year and finally found pizza that we absolutely love. we have tried several other dishes and all have been great. if you haven't been here, you are definately missing out!

food so good you will want to kiss the cook!!. i have eaten at salvatori's half a dozen times now, and wish it was a higher number! we have sampled the salads, the lasagna (amazing!!!!), the fettucini alfredo (my husband nearly wept it was so good!), and several of the specialty pastas. every single time we were amazed at how delicious the food was! yes, it's tiny, and in a strange location, but frankly my dears, you won't care about any of that after trying their freshly made, delicious food!! i highly recommend salvatori's to everyone i meet!

excited, satisfied, and very full customer~. omg! since our return from europe, we have been wanting some traditional italian faire, not the americanized version that is so popular. through talking with some traveling friends, they suggested we try salvatori's. what a wonderful experience. they serve imported pasta's, homemade sauces from authentic family recipes, and a terrific staff. the food was absolutely outstanding. the owner came out to greet us, making it feel like a real 'family' restaurant as we enjoyed in every italian eatery in europe. i would highly recommend you try this traditional fare. do not be put off on their location at the the sunoco station, east of new haven. my first time, but certainly not my last. the desserts are to die for. all of them were as wonderful as the entree's. please open a salvatori's in decatur!!!!!!!!!!

huge portions, casual atmosphere. salvatori's doesn't look like much from the outside - it shares a building with a sunoco gas station and a taco bell - but the food is excellent, you get a lot for your money, and the service is friendly. this was our first visit, but we heard the staff greet a couple of regulars by name and joke around with them. we both had full orders of pasta dishes. i can't wait to try their sandwiches and pizza.

excellent!. have either ate in or had their food catered over dozen times this past year,,, and every customer that has tried their food, be it just the sandwiches or whatever, has likewise commented positively about 'em. impressive, and well worth the drive from anywhere in the ftw area to partake in their offerings.

first time, will not be last!. went here for lunch today, we ordered two 7" pizzas and a salad. hers was veneto white [alfredo sauce with shaved chicken breast, 'shrooms, red onions, basil, and cheese], mine a abruzzo all meat [italian sausage, pepperoni, ham, bacon, salami, cappicola, ground beef, homemade pizza sauce, and cheese]... both were excellent. these are not your pizza hut or regular chain pizzas, but dripping with goodness of oil on the bottom of the thin crust, and with just the right amount of toppings, sauce, and cheese. as much as i despise mushrooms and onions, even hers looked very tasty. service was very prompt and friendly by the waitress, with even the cook [sam] smiling and engaging in conversation. place is clean - yet would be great if had more of an atmosphere, with a different location; next to a fuel station doesn't really bring much to romantic or scenery ;) would be cool to have such a place with a little garden and stream, and tables outside to enjoy the food, glass of wine or beer, and such. yet, do not let that interfere, as the food and attention are top-notch,,, and worth more returns. i'm just upset with myself that has taken this long to travel here to try this place.

the pictures on the wall reminds me of my family reunions..... this little italian restaurant was connected to a gas station and a taco bell. in most cases i wouldn't consider eating in a non-fast food restaurant connected to a gas station. fortunately, it made up for its poor location with great food. the house dressing had lots of flavor, the bosco sticks reminded me of being back in high school and the italian beef sandwich was splendid. if this little italian place was in a better location it would conjure up much more interest from customers. don't get me wrong though, it is worth a stop.

this place is fantastic!. my boyfriend introduced me to this place. he used to pick up carry-out for me when i'd come to his house. i have dined here on many occasions and have never been disappointed. the pizza is top-notch, the lasagna is always hot with a tangy tomato sauce, and the fettucini alfredo is thick, creamy and tasty. i love the garlic ciabbata (sp?) bread too. i took my sister there for lunch a couple of weeks ago, and although the location gave her pause, she said she couldn't wait to introduce her husband to salvatori's. the place is always clean and tidy, and the staff is pleasant and attentive. great food, great price!

omg!. where do i start? i fell in love with the food the first time that i ate here. i agree that the location might not be the ideal spot and that you may have to wait during prime times, but you will not be disappointed. the portions are so large that i always go home with a box.
all that i can say is try this place just 1 time. i can not imagine that you will walk away disappointed. i really hope that sammy opens up another larger salvatori's in fort wayne. he does it right!

the place is small, and the wait may be long to get a seat but it's worth it. i wish they would open in a bigger location. great alfredo sauce!
