breakfast was fantastic, it came very quickly and the staff were friendly and helpful. i will definitely eat there again.

i didnt realise this place was a theatre restaurant! the staff here displayed a comedy of errors lucky we didn't care! the food was pretty good so that made up for the awkwardness the staff caused!

fabulous!. i attended a birthday party on the downstairs balcony at sailor's rest on the week-end which was wonderful. the location looking out over the water was lovely and the wait staff were attentive and friendly. moreover, the food was delicious. we had an assortment of tasting plates which were plentiful and yummy, the stand out being the fisherman's platter. the only negative was the noise, but hey, this place is busy for a reason! if you have a function or are just looking for lunch i would recommend sailor's rest.

came here with a larger group of people (6) service was prompt and friendly enough-wasnt keen on having to continually fill up our own water from the single tap. coffee wasn't the best quality and the food was ranging from small serving size to average for $17-25 each. i understand there's a nice view, but $140 for 6 people at a casual average breakie... i think not.

have been here once for a coffee at midday and another time for lunch with friends. my latte yates burnt but lunch was ok.
found customer service to be bad, actually felt like the girl who took us to our seats was looking down at us in a judgemental way, was impolite and unfriendly. doubt i'll go back

enjoyable. great easy location with restaurants all round, very comfortable and kid friendly and the manageress is a real spunk and just lovely. staff very friendly and an authentic italian flavor. i'll be back here again.

there seems to be a common theme here.. very nice yet expensive food, let down by slow lazy service.

enjoyable. we had a very enjoyable breakfast, with nicely cooked poached eggs and the generous home-made hash browns a definite highlight. coffee and freshly-squeezed orange juice arrived promptly and the breakfasts followed very quickly. the prices are high but unsurprising, given the prime waterfront location and outlook. service was very attentive, although the place wasn't busy on a tuesday morning.

too pricey. great spot - but as with a couple of dining options along the geelong waterfront the food is just okay but very expensive. $7.50 for a little lemon tart!

d.t. perfect food, horrible service.

scone and hash brown are highly recommended.

will give another visit next time to geelong though

sailors rest has amazing coffee great food and good service. yes the restaurant is busy but any restaurant that has such good coffee and food you just need to be patient!!
