have been here twice now,foodhas always been amazing!! service the first time was great!! the second, more recent time we stood in the 'please wait to be seated area' for literally 5 minute with a blonde waitress walking past and looking at us every minute and then turning around ?! she eventually came out and seated us!!!

we are not from the area but will be back to make a day of it.

sailors rest has amazing views which are great to dine by, thefoodis always prompt, slightly over priced but worth it for those homemade hash browns the size of your palm, service is always attentive, coffee is always great and hot chocolates are to die for

got a lovely table in the sun on a windy morning, the outdoor screens are a great idea. staff were friendly and attentive throughout. i had the vegetarian breakfast with added avocado, fresh oj and a coffee.foodwas just bland, produce didn't taste good quality and avocado was under ripe. coffee was average.

horrendous service. they couldnt take our order because they has to serve other tables when we arrived first. for 30 minutes there were no tap water on table nor our drinks. waitress had to put us at the back of ordering queue if you did not decide to orderfoodfirst, but she had more time explaining to us why she couldnt order than ordering itself. my coffee order also did not arrive after a long while. dissapointed when we queued at 10.45 am for a table.

on sunday afternoon. it was supper busy however the service is supper fast and thefoodis amazing,

after stage 4 restrictions lifted, a friend and lined up without a booking to eat at the sailors rest. the line was pretty long however staff were great at letting us know the approximate wait time and thanked us for being patient. we were finally seated after about 30 mins of waiting. thefoodcame out very quickly and was delicious! i ordered the salt and pepper calamari salad and my friend ordered the seafood marinara pasta. both were sensational, no complaints what so ever!! great service and very lovely staff doing their best to accommodate everyone during these difficult times.

fantastic food....a drive of 90 minutes was so worth it. the venue is aesthetically pleasing, the space and the ambiance was perfect and despite it being soooo busy we were never waiting forfoodor drinks. so many staff and thefoodwas so fresh the fish must have been swimming that morning.
great portions tonnes of flavour and a great lunch all around.
we started with trio of bread, onto fisherman’s basket and cajun wrap with an array of drinks. $150 for two and left full and happy.
geelong has some greatfoodhouses and this is one of the best.

lovely setting. glad i read the good reviews and chose to have our lunch here. we were after good seafood and were very pleased with the seafood risotto (gluten-free version of the spaghetti) and the calamari. definitely a high end pubfoodfeel. will be back when driving through geelong again on a summers day 🌞

wow ... what a view !!!

spent a lazy sunday afternoon here on the rooftop deck. we had a few grazing dishes coupled with some drinks. lovely, relaxed atmosphere, great service and thefoodwas delicious!! perfect location in geelong to soak up some sun and enjoy the weather! we will be back

love the new roof top bar . i can’t wait to go back. yummy bar menu and great ambience.met friends out front later and greatfoodthere too . my favourite restaurant on out beautiful waterfront.thankyou .

had lunch at this beautiful place on sunday. enjoyed the place which are located in geelong cbd near the beach.foodwere awesome, perfect grilled temperature of salmon avocado bowl. chilli burger was juicy. highly recommend this place to eat and chill if you’re in geelong.

excellent, recommend the jack sparrow. great hot chocolate and mocha, nice place to eat at, great outdoors area for warmer times of year.

i’ve been coming here for a while and thefoodis always great.

the service was really poor to start with waited 40 minutes to order once we asked to order. thefoodcame out very quickly and things then improved. the salt n pepper calamari was superb and the plum sauce was devine. the fish n chips were really good as well served with a good size chips. we sat outside and it was beautiful.
