i have been here twice and have enjoyed it both times. first, the view of the reagan national airport is nice. second, service is consistently excellent. and the steak is just fantastic. white table cloth service and food is what it’s all about. will definitely come back!

servive sub- standard. first time for us at the ruth chris location. view spectacular, food great service poor. receptionist was great from there it is went all down hill. waited 10 minutes before waiter came over to ask if we wanted anything to drink or acknowledged we were even there. when waiter took our food order zero personality, acted as if he could care less whether we were there or not. poor explanation of menu items. we frequent ruh chris locations often, mostly at the fairfax center va. you would never now from the service that these two locations were the same chain. there are problems here.

overrated!. we were robbed! it has a great view and that’s it. we received overcooked fatty steaks that seemed like choice cuts. their sides are the smallest i've ever seen at a high end steak house. the waiter ignored our table. we were never offered additional rounds of drinks. this is an overpriced joke of a steak house. this location should remove the ruth chris sign and call itself something else.

standard rc fare. one of the best views of the skyline through dca.

the view is great, the steaks not so much. seriously, a steak drowning in butter? who does that.

my wife and i are from moore, oklahoma. when we recently came in on the 4th of july our hotel was near the ruth's chris steakhouse in arlington. we stopped in to see what all the raves and reviews were about. we left wondering the same thing. the view at the airport was great, the steak was murdered and came to our table in a puddle of its own grease and butter. the pureed spinach was obscenely prepared and void of any flavor. the salads were good, and my macaroni and cheese was adequate, but my son's chicken was flavorless and he complained of dryness.

we ate our food, and enjoyed the spectacular view of dca, but as far as quality steaks go, we did not find them at ruth's chris steakhouse. a $150 dollar tab at any steakhouse in oklahoma would have yielded a steak that far surpasses the meat that made its way to my table at your restaurant. my wife said it best when she said, "i can't believe we paid $50 for a steak that was golden corral quality, that poor animal was displayed in such a sorry form too. i mourn the cows that get their meat shipped out there to be slaughtered twice."

here is a pro-tip, if you are in this part of the country enjoy the seafood. if you want a real steak c'mon down to oklahoma and we will get you better quality meat for a quarter of the price.

ruth’s chris -- what could go wrong?. just as predictable, exquisite and expensive as any ruth’s chris you’ve come to know. use the $5 valet parking, stroll to the elevator, up to the 11th floor, into a relatively intimate venue.

there’s a small u-shaped bar if you’re planning a martini-only outing. wall-to-ceiling glass on two sides of the room yields a nice-enough nighttime view of dca reagan national, but mostly of the traffic control tower and the immense parking deck. two very interesting tables here, both of them a valentine red velvet, high-backed round banquette. they felt as though straight out of a midcentury vegas showroom. one is placed by the window, the other on the opposite wall, under a painting. the latter would be preferred as it offers a more powerful view of the venue. cozy and classy; palm the maître d' and snag one.

what else is there to tell, given this is a ruth’s chris? perfect caesar salad, ribeye and mushrooms. upon delivery of the ribeye, my waiter said “this looks excellent. be careful, it’s very very hot.” i asked him if he was referring to my date. smart-aleck remarks aside, no where else is a plate served as sizzling as it is at ruth’s chris, and it adds to the flavor. so did the eavesdropping upon the conversations of dc lobbyists and pentagon peddlers.

i’ve come to prefer ruth’s chris over morton’s -- since the latter was bought out by landry’s, home to all sorts of mediocre dining concepts. but there is a morton’s a few blocks up the street, if you insist.

as you would expect, with tip, before drinks or dessert, you’ll not leave the premises for less than $100 a person. but that does include the view.

happy motoring !

rc is always a safe bet if you’re in the mood for a reliably delicious steak house. i’m glad we finally got to try one in the local area. thanks to art’s parents for the generous gift!

good steak/great view. the resteraunt is located on the top floor of the general dynamics building overlooking reagan airport, so the view was awesome.

the steaks were good. i am not a huge fan of steaks not cooked over flame, and these steaks seemed to be seared in a pan. still, tender and juicy, good flavor. the savior of the night was the bread pudding with bourbon sauce...yummm.
