the rt, as we call it, has been a favorite spot since we moved into the neighborhood 7 years ago. thevegannachos are the ultimate late-night binge food. it has a dark, pubby vibe, but the food has always been good. brunch options are great, too.

this place was recommended to me and my family by a local. it's not a place you would just walk into off the street as a family (think dive bar). but this is the place to eat in philly. the mussels were divine. and we are a family who is picky about our mussels. the burger is fantastic. get it with fries or the mashed potatoes (sounds weird, but it's awesome). they have great beers and dinner specials. the service is attentive and friendly. they also accommodated my cold mother by turning down the air unit near us. it's also nice that they have a menu that accommodates the vegetarian andveganlifestyles. all around a great experience and meal.

used to be so much better, but still good. i dig how they offerveganoptions and the bloody marys are a meal in themslves.

great food great people. i am aveganand it is very hard to eat out these days. i found the royal tavern and anytime i am in philly , that is the place to eat! the food is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect! thanks
