excellent food. but the cook should be careful with the salt. in the chicken korma there was no salt whereas the meat dish could have had an addition of a wee bit more of salt. otherwise the preparations were excellent. would love to try other dishes from here.

set in a bungalow a little off the main road, royal repast looks dubious at first glance. once you enter the gate though, it’s a lovely, tastefully decorated haveli. the rooms have been converted into the restaurant so you mostly have only two or fewer other tables in your immediate vicinity.
service is lovely but leisurely. that’s not a bad thing, it feels less frantic than a regular restaurant but it might annoy you if you’re in a tearing hurry.
then comes the best part: the food. it. is. delicious. every single dish we ordered was fantastic. i’m personally a huge fan of the hara bhara kabab. the prices are medium-expensive, but the food is most definitely worth it.
all in all our experience at royal repast was truly wonderful. if you’re looking for a good meal served well, i highly recommend this place.

visited this place yesterday for a fine dine dinner experience.

food 4.5/5 :
the traditional food is great here. we ordered govind gutta curry ( traditional rajasthani cuisine) and cauliflower curry in “bedla sauce” and both were really amazing.
laccha paratha is good.

ambience 5/5 :
they have converted a traditional house into this amazing restaurant. one of the best ambience i have been to in udaipur.
they even have a big 1919 year map hanging on one wall. really mesmerising.
also very fine rajasthani music hits fantastically on a different level.

service and staff 4/5 :
the service and staff are very polite.

would recommend this place and is a must visit if you want a traditional fine dine experience.

the place keeps up the hype and royalty of udaipur.

right from the entrance to taking the seats, from ordering to enjoy the delicacies, this place feels worth every penny you pay. staff goes an extra step to ensure you have the best experience. food serving size is decent and taste is good. you can hope for a great memorable experience coupled with amazing hospitality.

the restaurant is very cosy and gives you welcoming feeling. the taste of the food is very authentic. we had tandoori rice and doodhiya kheech. the price of the food is also very reasonable compared to the quality of food. do visit this place.

if you want local non veg fare, there is only one place to go to - royal repast.

amazing khanna , with exotic stuff, like raan on the menu.

the food here is delectable and i would recommend going hungry so you can gorge on the uniquely udaipur food here

favourites are the kebabs, tangdi murg, karan shahi paneer, banjara chicken and channa masala. these are but a few of the fab dishes here

food is average lately. my past experience (year ago) was much better. staff is polite however the service is very slow. sometimes you feel you’re all alone in the building. ambience is very good and property well kept.

royal repast from the house of bedlas!
the bedla family has had the distinction of serving their cuisine to queen elizabeth, jacqueline kennedy and pandit jawaharlal nehru the first prime minister of independent india & various royalties of rajasthan.
a restaurant you cannot miss on your next visit to udaipur, rajasthan if you relish khargosh ke kabab, mutton, slow cooked in earthen pot with a secret in-house sauce that has 32 ingredients, laal maas and many more.
read more to know more about the delicious brunch i had there last sunday

quiet and ambient place just how i like it. but if we talk about the service for that matter, it looked like we entered a haunted restaurant. took quite some time to look for people. at least play some music in the restaurant.

food was average. i hope they include more variants in the menu. i give the restaurant purely on the ambience.
