absolutely ridiculous and illogical folks running the place. we chose this for a team lunch for the only reason it was close to the office. we were charged rs. 650/- for the buffet, but here comes the sad part. the buffet table didn't even have enough place to accommodate main course and starters. the starters were moved from heaters to plates on a neighbouring table due to lack of place; turning the starters cold. there was basically no other option. they refused to move the buffet to terrace.
the food was a average with 12-15 dishes. salad was served only on request and dessert had gulab jamun and ice cream. we could have well got the same pricing in absolute barbeque or barbeque nation under corporate discount. would have been a much bigger and better spread. the place was very congested even for 29 people. the whole episode turned from bad to worse during billing.
1. the cashier charged us for 35 people and insisted that since we gave him a approximate count of 30-35 during booking, he would charge us for 35 now matter how many people actually turned up. that was ridiculous, which buffet will charge with this logic? we had to call the manager to get it revised
2. now comes the funnier part. after the buffet was mostly closed, we had a sr member from our team who came to greet the team. he didn't have buffet, but ate one single jamun for which the the manager and floor incharge insisted on charging 650/- for him inspite of explaining. that was very sad.
3. i do not know for what reason, they never allowed us to pay on zomato app with pro and gave us some weird justification.
never plan a team lunch/dinner ever here. at best, this is a very ordinary restaurant to accomodate a small family dinner/outing. i assume none of folks from our office will ever set their foot here after this fiasco. what a way to lose 100-200 potential regular customers!!
