fresh and delicious!. i took my friend for lunch on monday and couldn't decide whether i should get thesaladwith figs, apples and chicken or the mediterranean wrap. i settled for the salad. my friend ordered the crab quiche(which was the special) with a side of the same salad. both of our lunches were absolutely amazing! all thesaladingredients were fresh and the taste of a the cucumbers were, well...cucumbers!! they were delicious and didn't taste like the cucumbers you get at the giant. i loved the homemadesaladdressing too. the atmosphere was cozy and the owner, who happened to be our server, was charming and hospitable.

i finally got the mediterranean wrap a few days later and i thoroughly enjoyed that was well. win win!! i should mention that the coffee is delicisoso!!

michelle, i am sorry to hear yoursaladwas so poorly made. we have recently taken the greeksaladoff the menu in order to make room for salads that we can make with more local ingredients insuring freshness and quality. we are confident that our ingredients and portion sizes and prices are very reasonable especially when compared to other restaurants in the area such as landmark orsaladworks. we apologize that yoursaladwas not made properly and if you come in we will gladly make your next meal on us. we strive to serve our town with healthy wholesome ingredients an leave with only happy customers.

lunch at roots. i recently had lunch at roots cafe. i thought the atmosphere was really warm and cozy. i had the best grilled cheese sandwich ever. it was made with a chocolate fig sauce. yummy. i also had an incrediblesaladmade with candied apples, figs and feta. delicious. i will definitely be back!!!

not worth the cost. purchased a full size greeksaladfor almost $10 and the amount of lettuce did not even fill the plastic container it came in. the olives were so soft that my plastic fork smushed then when trying to pick them up, the pepperchini was soaked in its juice that when i picked it up it just poured out, there were 3 cucumber slices, 4 grape tomatoes and maybe 8 chick peas. the bread they give you on the side was the end of the loaf and very cardboard in texture, probably leftover from last week. the maker of thesaladused the corners of the container for the bread, peppers, olives and artichokes to make thesaladappear large, but when you dig in there is no lettuce, definitely not worth $10. no salads from roots, get a better portion at landmark for the same price and more portion at saladworks for less price.

great lunch. we enjoyed our fresh, delicious, and creative lunch. soup was delectable and my chickensaladsandwich was terrific. my daughter finished her chicken and avocado sandwich with carrot slaw in no time. i would recommend roots cafe to anyone passing through west chester, pa.
