huge disappointment.. the atmosphere was really promising and i had read good things, but this turned into one of my all-time worst dining experiences ever.
maybe it was an off-night, but we waited almost 2 hours for our entrees and about another 1/2 hour after that for our server to cash us out.
it was really uncomfortable being stuck there that long and i seriously considered just bailing on the check. our son actually fell asleep at the table while we were waiting for the waiter to bring back our change.
it was a friday night, to be fair, but there were only about 4 tables filled when we got there, although it did get pretty packed later. the server didn't seem new, just a little indifferent. he took about 20 minutes to take our drink order, then got it wrong. i think he was under the impression his tip was in danger, so he just wrote us off.
the atmosphere was pretty great, although the antique chairs looked a lot more comfortable than they felt, especially after sitting in them for 2+ hours :(
the whole experience was kind of a nightmare. the food was pretty average, and we just wanted to leave, but had alreadyorderedand eaten our appetizers, and we couldn't find our waiter to ask for the check (even though it's a small place). in fact, he barely came back to our table except to make a few lame excuses and blame the cook.
neeeever going back there.
