i would come back, next trip!. traveling from tomah back to chicago. looked for a non-chain eatery where i would pay for the food after i ate it. close to the highway.
saw this place on urbanspoon with respectable scores. i stopped, had the house salad, a cup of chili, and some apple pie. ok, the pie was a wildcard for me and was delicious! house salad was fresh. chili wasgoodtoo. service was fast and friendly. easy place to like. other lunch diners looked likethey were enjoying themselves.
the menu looked varied. maybe next time i'll get the bluegill basket. only in wisconsin can you get fried bluegill and a side of cheese curds.
