above average burger, below average service. the food here is really good, incredibly creative without being weird. i like the burger competition thing they do so there are frequently new burgers to try. the parking at thisplaceis awful - good luck finding a spot anywhere nearby. every time we have gone we usually end up waiting a long time for a server who in turn is slow and not the most helpful. it is really nice to sit outside though and enjoy a unique and juicy burger.

the inner beauty burger sounded interesting.  i don't do well with spicy food.  there's no indication on the online menu [that i could see anyway] indicating this was fairly spicy.
also, saw little evidence of the cheese, caramelized onions or fried pickles.  basically, a burger with a piece of bacon. this burger was not that large, cost $12.... and it didn't even come with fries.  seriously?
my boss paid for it, so couldn't complain too loudly.
did i mention it was a take away order?  burger was barely warm and my work is only a matter of a few minutes away from the market center location.
i will strongly be advocating that we select a differentplacenext time we order lunch out.

thisplaceis pure fun and delicious. go if you want to explore food. go if you want to be surprised. go if you want a "not your typical" burger joint experience.

bottom line... just go.

we have been many times and really like the burgers. i have always said it hard to screw up a burger but they take burger to bergerdom. thats burger dominance (bd).

i know it's the thing with hip restaurants right now but theplaceis annoyingly load at times wish this fad would fade!

i had high hopes for thisplacebecause everyone in fort worth was talking about it.  we visited on a sunday and had a really hard time finding any seating at all.  our burgers were good, but if you are looking for a traditional burger this isn't the place.  the bench seating was sort of awkward because we were sitting next to people we didn't know.  if you are looking for someplace off the wall and different you might like rodeo goat.

finally got to try rodeo goat. it was as good as advertised. the only reason that i gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because my burger patty was cooked well done. i am pretty picky about stuff like that. i will be willing to give the star back on a future visit if the patty comes out medium. great service and quick too. good beer selections. they have some of the most creative and unique burger combos i have seen and i just love that. unfortunately, i could only try one for now:

sugar burger- candied bacon, grilled peaches, caramelized onions, arugula and jalapeno jam. it was one of the best burgers i have ever had. it's a shame the patty was too well done because this burger had a chance to be the best ever. the candied bacon and peaches gave a nice sweetness and tamed the heat of the jalapeno jam. highly recommended.

hand punched fries- their fries are ridiculously good. i can't confirm because i didn't ask, but with my knowledge i believe not only are their fries hand-cut, but i believe they're double fried as well. very crispy and great flavor.

in closing, i can't wait to get back and try some more of their burgers and maybe a different style fry also. very impressiveplaceand i highly recommend if you like burgers or are feeling a great one you stop by.

back again. brought two friends here for the first time. this was my third time. we walked away very pleased. my friends had the caca oaxaca and the salted sow with homemade chips and fries, while i had the chupacabra burger which is currently running in the battle of the burgers. it is a combination of beef and chorizo, with roasted hatch chilies, fried jalapenos, avocado, queso asadero with smoked lime aioli. other than a little heat from the jalapenos, the burger was surprisingly mild. it did have a nice flavor with everything blending nicely. the avocado held everything together. it is running against the rhuberry burger, which has the burger topped with rhubarb marmalade, arugula, strawberry goat cheese and pie crisp. lots of people enjoying the food with us out on the patio in the back. kids are playing ring toss. lol! luv this place!

happy birthday to ewe. somebody was going to say it eventually, so it might as well be me. happy birthday rodeo goat! you are one year old today. how i managed to stay away from you for an entire year surprised me. finding out burgers were half-price today was a temptation i couldn't pass up. to be honest, i didn't think this was going to be aplacethat i was going to go for. all of these fancy-smancy ingredients, most of which do not belong in a kitchen, let alone on a burger. if you know me, you know my stance on a fried egg on a burger. thumbs down. peanut butter?? i wouldn't think so. how about a burger which actually has al the ingredients for a tamale?? now that's intriguing! so i took a chance.

oh my gosh! this was incredible. la vaquera is in the burger battle this month so it may or may not be a permanent fixture. hopefully it wins. it has all of the elements of a delicious tamale plus the added benefit of a burger patty. braised brisket, oaxacan white melted, oozing cheese with grilled jalapenos wrapped in yellow masa on a fresh-baked bun. the bun is smeared with mole mustard. i love the flavor of masa and the cumin-infused brisket . the masa doubled the carb count with the bun, but it didn't hurt it. and to top it off, the burger itself was served wrapped in the tamale corn husks. how clever is that! when i ordered it i thought i was going to have to eat it with a knife and fork. far from it. it was a really nice burger that held everything together without any mess.

the fries were soggy though. this was the only downside of this meal. perhaps i should try the goat chips next time. i felt sorry for my server who just happened to be the bartender too. i was here early and was one of the first in at 11:00. in no time at all theplacewas full with happy customers. i was one of about 16 of her very own patrons and she battled valiantly between getting drink orders, lunch orders, refilling drinks and bringing checks. i wasn't in a hurry but it did take about 10 minutes to get the check. no fault of hers. she was just bouncing around like a pinball.

parking is limited in front of rodeo goat, but there is street as well as garage parking in the general vicinity. the interior is very rustic, bar atmosphere type, so on this windy, forty degree day, i did not feel out ofplacein jeans, flannel shirt and combat boots. i don't know if it is always this busy, but busy or not i want to come back here again and again to check out the other burgers to see what i've been missing. hope to see you there as well!

(edit-february 7, 2014)- i'm back again. i needed to return to try out another burger--this time the "hot bastard." the description is "red chile spice, lettuce, tomato, marinated peppers, onion, habanero cheddar with roasted fresno aoili." wow! that's a mouthful. it was a very good burger too. i like la vacquera better though. the bastard, excuse me, that's the name, was a very moist burger with all of the vegetables and aioli sauce. the buttery bun enhanced the flavors. it was a 6 on a heatness scale from 1-10. i really didn't notice any major heat until my last bite and it was just a low, slow burn in my mouth. the real surprise were the goat chips. i'm not a big potato chip fan, but i thought i need to try a different side this time. these were much better than the fries i had the last time here. the chips were non-greasy and were presented in a little bag. it was a large portion too. i will probably select these over the fries next time, or perhaps i will get an appetizer as a side since i haven't tried any of them yet. service was excellent, maybe because i was sitting at the bar. my tea was re-filled three times during my lunch--a new record! the wait on my burger was probably 6-8 minutes. i can't get over this place. i will be back later so i can try some more of this expanding menu!

a story about a goat!. what a great venue! i have to admit, i was unsure of anyplacethat started out with rodeo, but this was a winner! the atmosphere is very casual, and industrial styled. in fact egg crates are on the ceiling for the accoustics, as this is all concrete and steel. thisplaceis hoppin', you may wait a minute, but the host does get you seated fast. now let's talk about the menu, great selection of brews, and eclectic mixes. this is a large menu, and yes confusing. the styles of the burgers are intersting, so you do need your server to just walk you through the menu. be open to the styles of burgers, and go with the flow. i promise you, if you do this, you will enjoy a great burger.
unfortunately, our server was not helpful in regards to this. our table was just plain confused what to go with, and what was what. in fact a fellow guest filled us in some. we know it gets hectic, but i must say, all servers should ask if it is the guest's first time and walk them through the menu. the back of the menu has a great story of how they started, and all the amazing brews and such. the front is burgers in eclectic paradise about to be eaten!
i had the oh whiteny, a great twist to a classic mushroom swiss style burger. loved it, fresh different mushrooms, caramelized onions, gruyere cheese and some amazing mayo. a true new must love for me! my friends got the caca oaxaca, a fried egg on top and some must have spiceness! my friend was in heaven!! if you are looking for the same ol' burger everyone else has, then this is not theplacefor you. open minded, and trust me, they will not dissappoint you in what they can whip up and make on a burger, so fabulous! fresh ground beef, ground several times a day, hand cut fries, and fresh toppings of every kind imaginable. it just takes an ordinary burger to the next frontier.
lastly, i did try the dessert...i had to know what the hell goats balls were...on the menu! a fabulous donut hole inspiration with brie inside, powdered sugar and an amazing berry compote. rich and full of layers of flavor!
i wish i could say how the steaming pile tasted, another appetizer, or many of the other great sides and appetizers, on this menu. i will have to leave that for another visit!

good food!. thisplaceis amazing. the service has, with the exception of one time, always been amazing. with that one exception, management handled it well and made it right without just throwing free food and money at the problem. i was pleased with the outcome.

their food is fantastic. drinks are great. moontang is awesome! try it!

i do wish they still had my burger. rip ravi shankar. you are dearly missed and always loved.

my family just ate here for the first time tonight. it was me, my husband and our three young boys. first of all, while theplaceis kid friendly, they do not have a kids menu so be prepared to spend $9 for a burger for your kid. secondly, our burgers were way overcooked. this was disappointing because we stressed to our waitress that we like our burgers on the rarer side and she promised they would be cooked perfectly. i ordered the whiskey burger and hubs has te blue
cheese burger. kids had regular burgers. the flavor combinations were unique and great, really this places only redeeming quality. i had an iced tea and hubs had a beer. sodas aren't listed on the drink menu. we asked what sodas they had. a list was rattled off and our kids chose root beer. the server failed
to mention root beer is bottled and $3.50 a bottle. hubs and i may go back and we will definitely request rare burgers. we won't take the kids next time. oh, we also had goat chips as well as fries. weren't overly impressed with either.

greatplacefor a burger and beer. as most of fort worth knows by now, thisplacemakes a great burger. great variety of burgers with a different take on things. i would recommend getting the cheese fries surprise for the table. with a great burger and beer menu, target rodeo goat for a great lunch or a late night snack.

big hit or big miss. inconsistent, servers are either really nice and on top of things, or you feel like they do not want to be there (and this happens at peak or slow hours.) food wise, i've had great cheese fries and i've had burnt cheese fries. burgers are different, in a good way, but the goat cheese can and usually does take over the burger's flavor (as the star telegram reported.) more consistency in food/service and this is one of, if not the bestplaceto eat in fort worth!

thisplaceis listed as having organic food although i couldn't find anything listed on the menu as organic. i thinking someone mistook all natural for organic.
