southbound (pimento cheese) burger is awesome!. i live on folly beach and have only been torita's3 times. once i had nachos that were great, we had breakfast there that was ok, but i just went for lunch and had the southbound pimento cheeseburger and fries and it was great! huge burger, lots of delicious pimento cheese, and my favorite- homemade, freshly cut french fries. i couldn't eat all of it. i definitely recommend it. 10 out of 10.

update aug 2016--made it back torita'srecently. still a lovely place to relax and have a cocktail and a meal. i tried the fried shrimp started this time and liked it. i also tried the fish and shrimp tacos but i was disappointed in them. they tasted odd to me. i've ordered them in the past and don't remember disliking them so maybe something has changed. i would not get them again. my friend ordered the same thing however and she thought they were good. i could only eat a few bites and was scared to eat more. something was up with them. we also ordered bloody mary's and they tasted great but i do not care for old bay on the rim so i will likely ask for that to be left off next time. the drinks were great (through a straw).

update oct 2015-- i been back torita'sa few times and i still love it!  they have a great drink menu and the food is always great. you can eat indoors or on a nice outdoor patio.  the last time i was there a band was playing.  it's a fun place.  don't miss this spot!

original--rita's is one of my favorite places on folly.  i love the casual atmosphere and the food is great. it's been over a year since i've been there but just getting around to a review.  i've tried many items but the one that stands out the most to me is the amazing pulled pork nachos! it is served in an ice cream soda glass and is oozing with queso! this is a messy mess but it is delicious. another great choice was the shrimp po boy but looking at the current menu, i don't see this selection anymore. that's too bad because it was wonderful.  i've also ordered the barnyard burger and it's fabulous too.  i love an egg on my burger.  i haven't tried the bloody mary bar but hope to some day.  i've eaten here many times and i've never been disappointed.  this is a great place to eat!

drove from columbia and spent a good while atrita'swaiting for the rain to pass. our server kathryn, was incredibly sweet and knowledgable about the menu, she made us feel comfortable and welcome. the food was awesome - exceptionally light and fresh. highly recommend the captain crunch french toast! atmosphere was laid back.rita'sis definitely the beach side place to be- make sure to check it out if you're passing through!

disappointing seafood selection.... a local recommendedrita'sto us, so we gave it a shot. this is more of a burger place than a seafood place, which is disappointing considering the name and location. we tried to order anything seafood related on the menu because we were only in town one day. we ordered the crab dip which was mediocre and served with stale chips. luckily, the special was shrimp and grits, which is one of my favorite low country dishes... but it arrived with strange textured grits and rubbery shrimp. total disappointment, and i know there is much better in charleston/foley area.... wont be back.

fantastic!. my family and i ate atrita'stwice during our recent folly beach vacation. great service, fantastic food, fabulous atmosphere. my children requested to go back a third time! the shrimp n grits was on special and it was hands down the best i have ever had. my kids had the captain crunch french toast that was out of this world and my husband had the flounder po' boy, twice!rita'sis our new folly favorite and will definitely be on the schedule a few times for next years vacation.

we have gone torita'sat least twice each year when we stay in folly, and we have loved everything we have ordered there! most of staff is really friendly. the tuna nachos are the best! and all the burgers are delicious.

big, sloppy, finger lickin' burgers!!. the next time you really need a big, sloppy, finger lickin' burgerrita'sis a must! it is my favorite place for a burger in the charleston area (yes, i've been to poe's and it tops it). besides the food being to-die-for the atmosphere is right on time. lots of natural light, a big bar (great margaritas), booths in front of large bay door windows, and a huge patio (that seems to have live music all the time). you can come as you are- right off the beach with sandy feet and a buzz.

the menu is simple- a few salads, seafood, appetizers (the best appetizer is the bbq pork and queso sundae which looks like an ice cream sundae) but the mainstays are the burgers/chicken (you can get any of their concoctions as a burger or a grilled chicken sandwich) with really good hand cut fries. in my opinion their best combo is the good 'ole chili-cheese burger. you get to pick your own cheese, get pimento, it is ridiculous! just take a look at my picture, yes there is a burger under there! the reuben burger is good as is the bistro burger with grilled portobello, crispy onions, blue cheese, and steak sauce. if you are in the mood of "i don't give a &^%$ about my diet" go for the barnyard burger- which includes a fried egg, bacon, and cheddar. the portions are huge, they give you enough for lunch the next day and a late night fourth meal. my only compliant aboutrita'sis that they have hunt's ketchup instead of heinz. that is absurd.

great food, great staff. we had our reception atrita'sin november for about 40 people. the manager and chef were great to work with, and chef anthony prepared a tasty menu to fit our budget. all of our guests raved about the food (an upscale taco bar), and the service we had during our party was top-notch. we have been torita'sprior to the party as well, and have never been disappointed with the food or service.rita'sis one of our go-to places on folly.

breakfast like it should be..... i'm an early riser. have had numerous breakfasts atrita'sat around 7 in the the morning. the omelet and coffee was freshly made, enjoy the peace and quiet with a sea breeze before the crowd gets there. wonderful.

bottomless mimosas & tuna tacos.rita'sis one of my favorite restaurants on folly beach. i live four blocks away from the restaurant and every time i get a chance to go to the saturday/sunday brunch, i do. the food is typical of a beach restaurant, except slightly more delicious. the tuna tacos are to die for. the blackened shrimp quesadilla is another personal fave. the hummus platter is a crowd pleaser for the vegetarians and the burgers are perfect (all of them!). i've even gone there while dieting and had the southwest salad and have been pleased. great atmosphere. wash your hands in the inside bathroom with the salt scrub. you will want to return simply for that. love ritas!

rita's hit the spot - drink specials less than special.. first off, our service was really good. our food was good too. the menu is rather simple but if you don't like it there are many other choices nearby.

we got mostly sandwiches but they also serve a rather unique version of shrimp and grits as a special that we were fighting over.

margarita monday is no longer happening and the happy hour specials are somewhat limited, but if you like domestic big brewery beer, hey, you're in luck. there were lots of restrictions on what was and was not subject to happy hour and it was honestly pretty annoying.

aside from the drink special issues,rita'swent over well.

one of my favorite restaurants at folly beach.rita'sis one of our favorite restaurants at folly beach. you can't beat the combination of fresh ocean breezes and some of the freshest, tastiest dishes on the beach.a couple of our favorites are the grilled marinated butcher;s steak salad and the flounder,shrimp and oyster basket. and let's not forget the unforgettable margaritas for which the restaurant is named !!

spencer. i love this place, we live in florida and drive to folly beach every chance we get.....to go torita'sseaside grille. this last weekend we were not able to stay at folly but made sure we spent one day and one evening there. rits's by far has the best fried shrimp basket i have ever had. with the sweet huge shrimp comes real hand cut fries and a great creamy cole slaw. my husband had one of the fish specials and it was also fabulous. i am afraid to eat the gulf shrimp since the oil spill bp has caused and suggest everyone to try the fresh shrimp from folly beach are!!! we will be back, no doubt!
