change is not always good. ritas was my husbands number one spot on folly to eat at but he couldn't get over the price changes with new ownership. $9 now for a piece of cake? was 5 just a couple months ago. all the burgers have tacked on 3 or 4 bucks extra. the 8 oz steak used to be 20 bucks or so- now its like 39. its almost laughable. i understand food prices are rising and so will restaurant prices but usually they raise it a buck or 50 cents on each item. the servings have shrank too. half the amount of fries. how do you raise prices that much but shrink servings? the place is so much junkier now too- and they crammed more tables closer together so they can fit more and make more money.goodfor profit but it feels claustrophobic now. its not relaxing like it used to be. plus they got rid of the shrimp quesadilla! bad call ;( they put peppers in the kids macaroni. without saying it on the menu... because all kids love red peppers in their macaroni and cheese? so of course my son wouldn't eat it. i guess if you are a tourist and don't know how it used to be, it would be decent. all in all, we wont be going back. id rather eat a tokyo crepe.

eat it up. burgers are huge and tasty with hand cut fries. seafood wasgoodtoo. the atmosphere was cool and inviting either indoors or on the covered outdoor patio. went back for breakfast/brunch which was verygoodas well. we thought it was agoodvalue overall as we left stuffed.

best burgers in charleston area. we go every time we are in the mood for agoodhamburger. i prefer the pimento cheese burger. my spouse is working his way through the menu trying the different styles of burgers. the fries are always crunchy and the service perfect. being next to the beach doesn't hurt either! lunch or dinner we make a trip and have never been disappointed.

rita's is fairly standard tourist town beach fare.  i had the grouper sandwich - the fish itself wasgoodand flaky, but the batter was very salty.  the fries were also saltier than they needed to be.  overall, not what you expect when you pay $15 for a lunch sandwich, but then again they have a captive audience of tourists so they can charge pretty much what they want to.  the atmosphere was fine, as was the service.  overall, not terrible, but not great.

big party and they had no problem. we had about 15 people and they said the even though they did not take reservations we could call about 30 min prior and they would work on a table for us. got there about 630p and all was set up as well as two servers taking care of us. food came out looking great and our two servers were polite and professional as well as doing us a favor and accommodating separate checks which was great because many places would not since there were so many of us. food came out timed well and everything was really good(smoked wings were great and loved the hummus platter!), i heard no major complaints from anyone at the table and all seemed to have agoodtime. only complaint was they had the front door open when it was cold out and we were getting chilly. it would have been warm inside if it would have been closed and i am sure they would have closed it if we asked. i would definitely return on our next trip to folly beach for another visit to try something else off their smoker! :)

drove from columbia and spent agoodwhile at rita's waiting for the rain to pass. our server kathryn, was incredibly sweet and knowledgable about the menu, she made us feel comfortable and welcome. the food was awesome - exceptionally light and fresh. highly recommend the captain crunch french toast! atmosphere was laid back. rita's is definitely the beach side place to be- make sure to check it out if you're passing through!

fantastic food and excellent service. management gave us a free desert for our annivirsary celebration. he went above and beyond to give usgoodservice. their meat is fresh and hand selected locally. their bacon comes from chicago and is sliced in house. nice atmosphere and live music sunday- thursday!

mostlygoodfood. however, i used to go regularly for the black bean-falafel burger, hummus, and banging homemade pickles. now, the falafel is garbage. a fried hockey puck served on cold pita, with a tzatziki that tasted of nothing. the fries were reallygoodand my friends enjoyed their food. i know it's not a vegetarian-friendly restaurant but i think they should just take it off the menu. great service, atmosphere, and restaurant. bad falafel

it's changed ownership and not anygoodanymore. "catch of the day" was tilapia. burger was flavorless. go anywhere else on folly.

great service,goodfood. went with my husband and father-in-law for a couple beers and to watch the ncaa tournament. none of us was overly hungry so we asked to split a single felafel sandwich and fries. when the food came, it was three sandwiches on three plates with fries. we chalked it up to poor communication and shrugged it off. the servings were a little bit skimpy, but the reason why was clear when the check came: they really split the sandwich filling across three pitas and divided up the fries. we all agreed that it was an exceptionally accommodating thing for the kitchen and waitstaff to do. we expected one sandwich cut into 3 pieces. but they definitely one-upped our expectations. plus, the beers were cold, served in frosted mugs. and you can have your dog on the patio, which has 3 flat screens. would definitely recommend rita's.

meh. nice service. great location. relaxed atmosphere. food was so-so. the lobster and artichoke dip appetizer was pretty good. the fried seafood was certainly not the best, the sides were mediocre, and it was a bit overpriced. other menu items at surrounding tables looked more appealing. i'm not in a hurry to go back. this seems like agoodplace to go for a drink and app or lunch.

this is my favorite spot at folly's. love this place. 3rd time eating here after trying it this past summer. the blackened tuna nacho's and the pork sundae appetizers are awesome. great outdoor dining area and also agoodplace to sit at bar and watch sporting event. the seafood baskets are also very good. wife and i like to split a spinach salad and then get one of the great appetizers. the spinach salad is one of the best we've eaten.

beach break. we have stopped in several times and met with consistentgoodfood and service each and everytime. we always sit in the covered patio and enjoy the shade, breeze and drinks. this is a great place to stop in!

rita's knows how to make people feel welcome!. this is a great place to stop for a beer and a fun meal. the food isgoodand the service is excellent.
