nah. i liken the menu to overly priced dive bar food. i'm not a fan of paying six dollars for a fifty cent candy bar, to me it still tastes the same.

happy hour!. the happy hour is amazing. i spend more on one beer than a ceasar salad and a house ground burger. unbelieveable.

"was" a great place. the recent increase in prices, decrease in food quality and an ever aging wait staff that seems a little surly makes this place great a year ago. too bad. used to be the best.

steak. wahoo.. if steak is your idea of living on the edge, this and several other steak places in town will keep you well-fed. if you came to town to explore portland's vast culinary offerings you'll be sorely disappointed.

dark, tasteful, filling. just prior to thanksgiving four of us dined at ringside
on portland's west burnside.

inside there is a dark richness which goes along with
steak, dark wine, etc.

my entree was salmon.

all was of high qualityu and the service matched the food!

recommended!

one of my favorites. i have been here about four times, never disappointed. the atmosphere and food are excellent. the steaks are big and cooked exactly how you request. start off with a dry martini and onion rings and you can't go wrong.

everything it claims to be. i take restaurant self-promotions with the proverbial grain of salt, and i admit i was wary of ringside's claim to be one of the "top 10 america's prime steakhouses." but you know what? it's absolutely true. we came here for easter dinner and celebrated the holiday in style.

everything shined from the traditional ambience to the attentive and friendly staff to the outstanding food that was so artfully presented. my friend had the prime rib and said it was the best he ever tasted. i enjoyed the wild salmon with the anjou pear glaze. unbelievable!

ringside is a true portland tradition. you bet we'll be back and will tell our friends.

excelllllllllllllent. had the best steak of my life here (a bone-in new york) and possibly the best meal of my life. service has always been good for me and the ambiance is what you'd want in an old school steak house. location is good but parking leaves a bit to be desired, especially if it is during the busiest time.

one of the best steak houses in the country. the prime beef is exsquisite, the service is outstanding, and the wine list is one of the best i've seen. a great place to celebrate a special occasion.

well spent money. did the after 9pm $29 three-course meal including salad, entree, & dessert. all courses were fresh and delicious. service was fast, friendly and unpretentious. definitely would go again for this late evening great value. call ahead for no waiting.

our group had an excellent time. our servers were attentive, but not in an obtrusive way. the menu was fairly limited in my opinion (of course i felt morton's menu was limited too when we visited that one).
