second friday bringing adozeninto work and they don't last long. killer killer donuts and honey-buns. hands down best i've had. everything you could ask for in a local shop. give ringo's a try!

yummy.. excellent donuts. i mean really good donuts. only one problem. morning service. if your in a hurry and there is any kind of line you will wait. and wait. only one counter person filling sometimes three or fourdozenfor one customer. great for business, not so much for those who would like a cup of coffee and a donut. you will be late for work. can't count the number of times i've walked in then out because i know it's going to take forever to get a donut. another counter person would help solve the problem.

yeasty, yummy donuts!. the minute we read about this new donut shop in isle of wight, we jumped in the prius and drove across the james river bridge for hot, yeasty yum. read the daily press article as it's an inspiring story about someone living the dream.

mr. ring makes a variety of delicious, fresh, inventive donuts, including his homage to smithfield, the squealer, a maple glazed donut with bacon sprinkles.
there is also a key lime, peach filled, lemon, cream-cheese filled, raspberry and more. he also makes cake donuts. they are not prohibitively expensive--adozenis cheaper than kk or dd.
his hours are posted on ringosdonuts.com, and they state that he's open until they run out, and i imagine that happens regularly.
i was recently in california where it seems independent donut shops and gourmet donuts are everywhere. none that i tried, including a maple bacon knock-off, held a candle to ringo's.
