monster garlic appetizer. like garlic? the roasted garlic appetizer at richardson's is heaven. everything is good - from the wood roasted green chilies stuffed with potato to all the regular items. a little of new mexico in phoenix. wonderful!

we're happy to have richardson's back up and running a little north on 16th street in phoenix. highly recommended.

we started with the calamari which was pretty good. we also ordered the main chicken dish. it was stuffed with chili’s and cheese. the portions here are huge! also ordered was the salmon special with blueberries. they had an assortment of at least 4 fish specials. staff was friendly. would love to come back and try the chili releno or enchiladas that they are known for.

a new mexican gem, located in north phoenix on 16th st between glendale ave and bethany home rd. the original es on bethany home and 16th but was damaged by fire a few years ago. richardson's is tied together with rokerij between an open courtyard, which appears to be very nice. the food is new mexican chili cuisine and is spicy hot, a jut so you are aware of the heat level. the restaurant is open with the bar in the middle surrounded by tables and both, more a u shaped design, and you become a part of the atmosphere of the entire restaurant, which the noise level goes up. we started with the chips salsas, and gaucamole, some had a hatch chili kick to them, mixed with the softness of the gauc, made for a great chip combination. my entree was the roasted pork mole (green chili) , pork was extremely tender, came with black beans that are just right, and rice. our other entree was the tortilla crusted halibut, a nice sized piece of fish, that was flaky, and the crust was not overwhelming. our dessert was the flan which made for a very nice ending. a good. artery of wines, beers, margaritas, and other beverages, service was pleasant, and appreciated the explanations on the board items, which are the specials, from the sea and land.

parking on the weekends especially on fridays and saturdays can be a challenge, complimentary valet is offered.

i used to like richardson's.... beyond disappointed in my dinner experience this evening. service was fine, but the food was a big thumbs down. ordered the short ribs from the special entrees, and was served a mushy lump of $37 fat - both times. after being a semi regular at this restaurant, i've decided to remove richardson's from my preferred list of phoenix restaurants. additionally, their contracted valet service, was the crummy icing on the cake...): a rude send off to an expensive, yet disappointing dinner.

good food, hard restaurant to get into. this is a very small restaurant, that was former dq and has a tendency to become very noisy during busy hours, but the food makes up for some of the inconvenience associated with this restaurant. food here is very good and they have excellent seafood specials for being a southwest restaurant. there is a full bar centered around about 15 dinner style booths.

a few tips 1) reservations are only taken for 4 or more 2) if you don't have reservation on a friday or saturday night your wait will be hours 3) there is no parking lot, all parking is complimentary valet. 4) after you park and walk thru to the entrance hang a left otherwise you will be in the rokerij (restaurant that is attached by courtyard)

heavy with cheese but tasty. everything we tried was delicious! i had a perfectly prepared pecan grilled chicken on top of a toasted garlic bread topped with yummy mushrooms and a tasty jalapeño hollandaise sauce. all together this was very delicious and i think anybody would enjoy what i tried. it came with a super yummy roasted green chile stuffed with spicy mashed potatoes and a salad that was loaded with lots of cheese. my husband tried the new mexico enchiladas with red and green chile sauce. he really enjoyed his plate but said it was also really loaded with lots of cheese. i haven't been here before so i don't know if it is typical for them to use so much cheese but we still enjoyed the food.

wonderful place!. my husband and i tried this place last night. the atmosphere was smooth. it was a monday so it was not crowded and we got the waitress's full attention. i wish i would have gotten her name because she was great. we ordered the green chili sliders as an appetizer. wonderful! they came in pretzel buns and could have been our main course. hubby ordered the new mexico platter and i ordered the enchilada platter. fantastic food and real authentic new mexico taste. they use hatch child's. we had to bring home a doggie bag. a little pricey but you really do get what you pay for!

this is the second time at the new, one at old. two ok meals this last one was awful. burned not just crisp but burned enchiladas. didn't have time to redo because we had already waited almost 1/2 hr for meal. pork was fatty. red sauce is a mouth full of chili powder. thankfully i asked for both on side. green sauce was good. needed lots of it for insides of enchillates. done with richardsons.
