a new mexican gem, located in north phoenix on 16th st between glendale ave and bethany home rd. the original es on bethany home and 16th but was damaged by fire a few years ago. richardson's is tied together with rokerij between an open courtyard, which appears to be very nice. the food is new mexican chili cuisine and is spicy hot, a jut so you are aware of the heat level. the restaurant is open with the bar in the middle surrounded by tables and both, more a u shaped design, and you become a part of the atmosphere of the entire restaurant, which the noise level goes up. we started with the chips salsas, and gaucamole, some had a hatch chili kick to them, mixed with the softness of the gauc, made for a great chip combination. my entree was the roasted pork mole (green chili) , pork was extremely tender, came with black beans that are just right, and rice. our other entree was the tortilla crusted halibut, a nice sized piece of fish, that was flaky, and the crust was not overwhelming. our dessert was the flan which made for a very nice ending. a good. artery of wines, beers, margaritas, and other beverages, service was pleasant, and appreciated the explanations on the board items, which are the specials, from the sea and land.
parking on the weekends especially on fridays and saturdays can be a challenge, complimentary valet is offered.
