this is a classic. everthing on the menu. try a rachael with pastrami and coleslaw. consistently good, always crowded.

i’m sorry to say that a 1 for a rating is too high for this restaurant. totally disappointing!! first, i would be ashamed to admit that the corn chowder was “made in our kitchen.” does anyone taste the food before it is served to the customers ? as a delicatessen that features cold sides to accompany a sandwich you would think or expect that the sides would be quality. potato salad and coleslaw with that home made flavor. unfortunately they were not in fact they were totally unpalatable. the open faced turkey sandwich may have had a chance as tolerable until they smothered it with what i can only assume was canned gravy. the worst i’ve ever tasted, absolutely uneatable ! as a chef who takes pride in the quality of the food i serve my patrons i was disgusted. as a customer i was totally disappointed. even more so when the check came. sorry reins, we won’t ever be returning.

the food is great but service leaves a lot to be desired and can get slightly pricey for nothing really special. sure their food is great but it isn't out of this world and definitely isn't new york deli food.

this is the magnet that pulls motorcycles, cars, trucks, busses, and snowmobiles off of i84 in connecticut at exit 65. fress away, and ask for full sour pickles.

how could you not love reins? classic delicatessen meals, sandwiches piled high with quality corned-beef, matzo soup, and pickles to die for.

great ny style deli restaurant. we often stop by while driving through on 84. great sandwiches and pickles! easy to get to off the highway.

outstanding deli, open early and late

disappointing. i was so looking forward to eating at rein's as i hadn't been there for years. i had a pastrami sandwich with swiss on rye. a simple three ingredients. all of which were disappointing. i was expecting a nice hot, juicy, flavorful mound of pastrami with the swiss cheese almost melting from the heat and served on a fresh aromatic bakery rye bread. what i got was: a meager few slices of "steamed" pastrami that was cold and flavorless, swiss cheese which was colder (but somewhat flavorful), on rye bread that tasted like mass produced supermarket bread isle rye and was also cold and tasteless. the swiss cheese actually overpowered both the pastrami and the rye bread. all of which was not cheap.

a decent pastrami sandwich. this isn't new york. if anyone can tell me where to get a better pastrami sandwich in the area, i would like to know. i always order the super stuffed. it isn't katz's nor stage deli(? gone) nor is it carnegie deli, but it isn't a drive to nyc, either.

best corn beef reuben in ct!. the lean corn beef choice for the reuben is so good and they stack it high! the chili is fantastic and can purchased in the frozen section along with lots of other choices including home made breads. the decor makes you feel like you are in manhattan at a deli.

without a doubt one of the best resturants in the area. menu is authentic deli, food is superb and the staff is friendly and attentive. yes it can be busy but that's an effect of how good the food is. weekend are always busy but week days are easy in and out even at noon. great pastrami, corned beef, chopped liver, rubens, tongue and the pickles are amazing. waiter sean who i had today was great, helpful and fun. if you walk into a deli and the tables are full of elderly couples, that's a good sign. have tried various sandwiches and never had a bad meal.

best deli i've found in years. i can't understand the complaints. maybe they think a deli is what you find in a supermarket. this is a deli!

love this place. the sandwiches are great and they have so many interesting items. always stop on our way from pittsburgh to the cape and vice versa.
