red dining

first of all i'd like to thank the chefs the food was outstanding especially the pork belly. the service however was apauling, we called up to make a reservation at 6:30 they told us that's our busiest time so we than asked what time will it be quiter as we have a young child with us, we were than advised 7pm. arrived at 7pm we were than advised our food would be late by a further 30 mins as this is there busiest time. if that was the case they should of told us the truth in the first place. then the waitress we had either couldn't understand english or she was deaf as we had to repeat your selfs over and over. while talking to the waitress she started rolling her eyes. someone with little respect and can't do her job properly shouldn't be working there or any where near customers for that fact.

we came here because of the rave reviews we had heard. brilliant service on a busy night; the wait staff were professional and friendly. the restaurant was totally full; we were initially seated in the patio area, with cosy gas heaters and throws to keep us toasty while our orders were taken and drinks served. as soon as an indoor table became available we were re-seated and our meals were promptly served - all within about 25 minutes of arriving.

and yes, the bathrooms were amazing!

pizzas were delicious, and left overs were offered to us to take home.

great atmosphere, great service and awesome food.

i would like to congratulate sandra and her team for a very memorable night. the restaurant was fully-booked on a saturday night at 6pm, we had a table of 25 for our daughter's 16th and we never had to wait long for food or drinks.
the 3 x 1 metre long pizza's, pasta, breads, salads, dips and desserts were enjoyed by all, i can honestly say everyone had no room left in their stomachs, thank god for "doggy bags." my eye fillet steak was cooked to perfection and i noticed my daughter did not want to share her "birthday cookie." (yay more for us!)
the heaters and the rugs did come in handy but there were know complaints from anyone.
well done to everyone, you will see us again :-)

we are a family with 3 children, and we were also dining with another family with 2 children, so therefore made an early booking at 5pm thinking we would have been an gone before the mad dinner rush. the place was pretty much empty when we arrived and we were seated out the front which was nice for the kids. even though the place was very quite to begin with it took a considerably long time for the drinks to arrive and that is pretty much how the rest of the evening followed. not only were we left waiting ridiculously long for our food, but they also stuffed up our order so by the time i had finished my main only then did my children's pizza arrive, making our evening take even longer (lucky for us our children were being so patient) the mains were okay but the pizza was not worth the wait. it took a long time for our table to be cleared therefore delaying us ordering dessert. then more waiting. but patient we were even though it was well after 7pm now. while waiting patiently a woman (who i can only assume is the manager/owner...not really sure as she didn't introduce herself) asks my husband and me how our meals were, she then proceeds to tell us that the table/area we are seated in is booked for 7:30pm so if we could leave in the next 10 minutes that would be great, or we could move to the pub next door to finish our night....! firstly i don't fancy taking my young children into a pub!!! and secondly i'm still waiting for our desserts!!!! i found that so rude of her. so off she goes to the kitchen to put the hurry up on our desserts, and here we are left feeling pretty uncomfortable after pretty much being told thanks but you can leave now. its not our fault your service was sooo slow and you stuffed up our order. but not only that, as we are trying to eat our desserts as fast as we can, the staff are seen peeking around the corner to check on us, as if we didn't get the message the first time lol. the wait staff were very apologetic but the manager sadly wasn't, she just acted all surprised and then made some lame excuses. was not impressed with her at all. okay food, but not worth the wait or the $. i was told by the manager after she went to the kitchen to hurry the desserts up that we could ring and order our pizzas before arriving to save waiting time, that's not to say they wont screw your order up though! and it wouldn't be necessary either as we will definitely never be coming back a second time.

friendly wait staff and good menu options but over priced with unusual extra charges that other restaurants don't charge.

i dealt with sandra back in may this year. firstly for our social club event, where 5 metre long pizzas were ordered and delivered with a happy smile, they went down a treat. secondly around a week later our company had team building, with late notice, red pizzeria managed to fit us in without a problem, and catered to everyone's needs. delicious food and wonderful service.

was taken to red for my birthday recently. lovely food, lovely service, nice wines and special, yummy birthday cookie brought out as part of the night. not cheap, but you don't mind paying for such a pleasant event. definitely will go back and have been recommending to others

very prompt and friendly service. absolutely lovely food. nice atmosphere/music and cosy warm on a chilly rainy night.

excellent food at red pizzeria, always tasty! wish you had a few more fodmap friendly options on your menu however.

my wife and recently went to red pizzeria after receiving a deal voucher for 2 snack size pizzas. we both left commenting on how great our entrees were and the pizzas were really delicious. having recently tripped to italy and tasted pizza there we thought the pizza we had was as at the very least as comparable if not better than what we had tasted while overseas. the waiter offered us very good service and we even had an extra wine and beer as we felt so relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. will definitely be going back and recommending to our friends.

recently had friends from melbourne staying. they were very impressed and said they had the best pizza in the world. always very pleasant friendly, and professional staff. we visit often and all the food has been wonderful.

a friend and i regularily go here for lunch, im in and out after a gorgeous meal in my a lot lunch break from work :-) lovely friendly staff and the food is just...too good ;) also had my 30th birthday there with a group of 16. everyone loved the food and the atmosphere. we had a great night!

had large group for function in outdoor conservatory. brilliant night. pre-ordered the food and it was served at the times we required. thanks to sandra the ambiance was lovely and considering it was winter very warm and cosy. great pizzas and would recommend. especially perfect set up for large groups.

when i ordered the pizza, to takeaway i specified four times that i wanted no anchovies.

the receptionist wrote this onto the order.

when i opened the pizza, the base was very undercooked and it had the dreaded anchovies.
i rang the next day and was only given a brief apology from a ms vine who is the manager.
there was no offer of a pizza as i had ordered, or a refund.

it was a disappointment as i rarely get to a pizza outlet and it was a treat for this older person

i will take it back next week as we only tried a slice each.
i don't want another one i'll never deal there again.

they have no customer management skills.

we took my parents here for a 'thank you' dinner for a favour they had done us. it was a friday night and the place was booked out - this was evidently the reason the serving staff were run off their feet. drinks took 20 minutes to arrive and the pizzas took an hour. once they arrived they were reasonable, and we had leftovers for the next day. overall, our feeling was one of disappointment - the restaurant seem to have become victims of their own success and can't keep up with the orders. if you want to go here, ask for a table away from the kitchen/bar as for most of the night we were listening to the chef shouting (to himself? his team? not sure!). we did get a small discount of $6.5 (25% off my pizza because it came out a lot later than the others due to the waitress putting it down as a takeaway, not a dine-in). anyway, would recommend for a lunch or dinner early in the week - but if you book for a friday night dinner prepare for a lengthy wait!
