intresting food choices and great microbrew! 4.5 / 5. in my ongoing quest to sample microbrews throughout this great country i found myself at the ram's head tavern in annapolis. i was blown away by this place. i honestly expected standard pub fare and the usual run-of-the-mill microbrews, but was quickly shown the error of my thinking. this is a true tavern as the old word meant, the large dining area also gives way to a small on-site brewery, outdoor eating areas, and even a large area for musical performances (some of them from well known bands/groups/artists). while i wasn't lucky enough to time my trip to see a performance i was lucky enough to dine and enjoy myself.
themenuoffers a wide array of entrees, appetizers, and more. but wait, there's more! themenuchoices are not what you've come to expect from these places, there are unique recipes i haven't seen anywhere else to date (a sriracha burger with grilled peppers for example). to top it all off there is a large selection of in-house crafted beer all of which were quite good and even fairly priced, and if that doesn't suit you there is a large assortment of other beer as well. prices are fair, entrees are well sized, the wait staff is friendly, the only real down side is the difficulty in parking. this is one of my two must try places within annapolis!
