came here last weekend and really liked the decor. very cute place. slightly limited menu but everything we had was delicious, especially the mussels.

just tried this place for the first time! we didn't make a reservation so there was a thirty minute wait, which is to be expected for sunday brunch and for how small a space it is. we didn't mind; went to the bar and ordered the red snapper drink with their house made tomato mix. mmmm...scrumptious! the bartender was friendly and attentive. our waitress was kinda shotty, only checked on us a couple times. i had asked to see the menu to order another drink and she never came back to take my order until 20 minutes later when i flagged her down for the check. the ambiance is quaint and the open storage on the shelves really caters to the pantry vibe. i had the dutch cakes and my friend ordered the egg's benedict, both to die for! they were basic dishes executed superbly!

a work in progress..... i really want to love this restaurant because i live in the arts district - but they need to step it up if they are going to make it in that small space. their 60" round table for 8 takes up precious floor space and should be replaced with three more small tables that can be converted to a larger table. the noise level is very high - which i actually don't mind - but even our waitress couldn't hear my husband and brought the wrong wine. we ordered the roast chicken for two. we were told it would take 30 minutes – no problem - but when it arrived at the table, it was not much warmer than room temperature. the chicken is cut up and plated over mushrooms and vegetables. it would be nice to have it cut at the table so it would still be hot - but the restaurant is probably too small to accommodate that. for $44, i expected the skin to be crispy, not flabby. hopefully these are growing pains. one arts plaza desperately needs restaurants with longevity.
