we go here fairly often. the margaritas are always good and so is the food. we were a little disappointed with the wait tonight; not because they were busy but because they were understaffed. it was cinco de mayo which was heavily advertised. we arrived at about 4 pm and were told it would be a 40 minute wait inside and over an hour outside. the frustration was that the restaurant was over half empty. we waited 40 minutes for an inside table. we watched many others turn around and walk out. otherwise the food and service was good as always.

the wait staff was attentive and pleasent. the restaunt was clean. the food was good but not great. the view of the lake is awsome. over all i would eat here again.

reservations - don't waste your time. we arrived with a graduation party and were informed that the reservation made on the website doesn't exist. they have a "problem" getting website reservations and we should have called! no notice or warning exists on the website about this. the manager said that the website designer won't fix it or eliminate the reservation link. hmmmm. really?

this is one of favorite tex-mex hang outs. the pancho villa dip is delicious! it's a fun place to go with family or friends. the patio is great in nice weather. there are also a lot of seats by the windows. so, even if it is too hot for the patio you can enjoy the view of lake ray hubbard. everything we have had is delicious and they make great margaritas.

awful just totally awful. this place is awful waited 30 minutes to sit on the patio then got fed up and asked for a table inside there where several but they said another 15 minutes then another 15 minutes to get waited on then 30 more to get the food order and it was terrible i wouldnt set foot in this place if it was the last mexican restaurant in the city read most the reviews and alot of people feel the same way the only reason people go here is the view,

bad, bad, bad. i am on a campaign for no one to go there - 4 people , lost our seating, wrong food came 20 minutes to get someone to wait on us - waitier told us it was basically our fault - horrible and they weren't even busy - asked for mgr waiter told us he was busy - won't step foot in there again - understand some nights are off but never again

waited 30 minutes to sit on patio- then waited another 30 minutes only to never be gretted by a anyone. terrible service. 3 other patron tables left at the same time. we heard another customer say they waited and the server said they had no one waiting on the patio and all tables were on ddition to their standard indoor section. what patio restaurant puts no one on yhe patio when uts sunny and warm outside.

love this place! wait staff are always on top of things! salsa and chips are great but sometimes is too hot! please tone down the heat or add the mild option.

like it. you have to be careful on weekends when the weather is nice because the place can be crazy. but it's good tex-mex, the staff is friendly and the prices are good. the lake view doesn't hurt.

be aware! if you make a reservation thru open table the reservation may or may not show up on the restaurant records. we made a reservation for 20 people for lunch. we received email confirmation of the reservation and a reminder email the morning of the lunch. upon arriving at primos they had no record of our reservation. the young hostess with attitude informed us we should have called to confirm.
why would you have inline reservation services, with a confirmation number if your customer still has to call and confirm with the restaurant ? this makes no sense at all. no apology, just attitude.

the managers suck! the food is mediocre! the bartenders can't (or won't) make a decent drink. the only thing going for this place is the lake.

great view, good food, meh service. cool location on the lake but service was lacking, almost non existent at first, but it did get better. food was above average/good and just a little on the pricey side for tex mex. the fajita soup was delicious and the chicken fajitas were good along with fresh avocado/guacamole.

loud with lots of people, not necessarily a negative for all people.
overall this place is worth it based on fresh food, great view and ok prices. i'll definitely return!

so first this was my first texmex since moving to dallas. primo's to me just sounds like an italian restaurant then mexican. all you can eat chips & salas w/ free refills. entree portion size are pretty good size. nothing really special though. i enjoy the authentic homemade mexican dishes. also the blended margarita's were tiny! don't think i'll be returning to this one.
