food was great but the serving time is really slow. worth the wait though. greatplaceto dine in with friends and family, a goodplaceto chill and relax :))

theplaceis very clean and classic with a touch of elegance. i loved the salads specially the crispy goat cheese salad, ingredients used are very fresh. crunchy iceberg lettuce. i liked omg milkshake wherein bits of brownie can be felt while sipping. backyard cheese burger tastes really good. alfredo pasta is taste good with bits of crunchy bacon on top. affordable yet classy and delicious food.

their php249 deal for their cheeseburger with fries and iced tea was definitely a good deal. i love the consistency of the medium well patty i ordered, and it complemented well with the cheese. their iced tea tastes really good! we also tried the winglets sampler, php280 for three flavors. the garlic parmesan and buffalo winglet were good, but i didn't appreciate the sweet chili flavor.

their staff offered good service, and the ambiance of theplacewas classy and chill.

twas hot in the mall as theplacewas crowded. stepping in this outlet was a treat as the aircon was really cold, or that we were seated under the vent. ☺️. we tried their classic deals - ₱179 for a t.e. slider and a pomodoro or afredo pasta with iced tea. well worth your bucks for a snack as it was filling enough for me. 🍔🍝🥤

been pondering on whether or not to try thisplaceout because i’ve had mixed reviews, i was strolling along rob manila when i finally decided to go for it.

i ordered their amsterdam burger, fried pickles, and iced tea.

their amsterdam burger is priced at 280. t

the patty is great. it’s thick, juicy, and flavorful. however, i asked for a medium well because seeing the pink somewhat makes me squeamish but when i cut my burger, it was a medium. still quite pink in the center. i just brushed it off though.

the pastrami gave an ex extra layer of meaty flavor which made it great.

sauerkraut and gruyere is just a match made in heaven so it makes so much sense to mix these two.

however, their buns and sauce was the downfall of this burger for me. hence the 3 stars.

the bun is too soft to handle the big patty, it crumbles and becomes soggy after a while. they should toast it better, or switch to pretzel bun or brioche bun. something sturdier to have a firm grip on the burger and so that the burger won’t just turn into mush upon biting into it.

their sauce could be hella improved, it literally just tastes like local mayonnaise. i had to scrape it off of my burger. it was that bad, for me at least.

their fried pickles isn’t that good either, it’s pretty meh. the breading overpowered the pickles but i guess i wasn’t really expecting much on it.

ice tea tasted great though, perfect tang to match the meatiness of the burger.

i hope they do improve their sauce and buns.

first time to eat here. theplacewas very nice and the staffs were accommodating. the food was great and affordable too! i love their slider and onion cubes 😍 even love their caramelized bacon alfredo. will surely come back here again soon.

i had high hopes for thisplacebut the food kind of fell short. it lacks flavor and a bit of salt wont be bad too. the milkshakes were good, tastes like ordinary milkshakes. the interiors and ambience though were perfect.

one of my favorite go-to dining places. the service is great, and theplaceis very comfortable.

their dollar menu is worth checking out! you pay about php50 for small orders, like a piece of a slider, small salad, or a mini milkshake.

besides that, i love their classic t.e. burger. the patty is juicy, and the bun is particularly buttery. i also enjoy the sizzling pound moco (beef). it reminds me of jollibee’s burger steak but better.

worth visiting, especially for its cheap price!

okay, there is a very good reason why i gave this a 2-star rating, but first things first.

positive:

me and my girlfriend ate here today. she availed of the slider hour promo, tapos ako inorder ko yung t. e. burger. the food's taste is great, just what you'd expect from a premium burger shop. malinis at cozy yung place, and it gives you a vip feeling with how their interior is designed medyo out ofplacenga yung suot kong pambahay at tsinelas. the waiters are attentive and courteous.

negative:

do not believe the pictures! this is one of the things that caught my attention. my girlfriend who ordered the slider was told na yung burger bun ay maliit. what we thought was something a little bigger than a pan de leche. yun pala eh mas maliit pa sa pan de leche - think of buchi na ginawang burger bun. yung inorder ko akala ko malaki, pero i was again disappointed. sinlaki lang ng yum burger yung inorder ko. burger king, brother's burger, and zarks' burgers are way bigger as compared to theirs. taste wise, there's no difference. money wise, i wouldn't recommend this restaurant, hindi sulit yung binayad mo dito. however if you feel generous and would like to burn some extra cash then thisplaceis just right, otherwise, i suggest you go eat somewhere na mas masusulit mo yung binayad mo. this is another case of paying for the brand name.

when i went to pound by todd english in robinson’splacemanila i order the sizzling pound moco - burger and pound foie gras burger and some sides.

the sizzling pound moco was presented well. the burger rice was topped with egg and served with peppercorn gravy, which make the dish flavorful.

the pound foie gras burger was big enough for 2. i can’t finish the whole burger because it has a thick and overloaded patty with foie gras. the burger was tasty though.

some of my favorite sides were the truffle french beans and truffle risotto tater tots. i will be back to pound and order it again.

by the way, you can enjoy a $1.00 menu for the whole month of march in all pound by todd english branches. 🍔

my favorite thing about thisplaceis the ambiance. it has a unique vibe that will just draw you into the store. the food tastes good. i like the texture and taste of the patty. however, for the price range i was expecting there's something exceptional about it, but the food didn't really stand out for me. there are other burger stores (e.g. 8cuts, bbb, zarks) where you'll get more value for your money.

thankful for pound that they opened a branch in robinsonsplacemanila, which is pretty close from us. pound kind of uplifted the looks of the mall since the mall has been opened for ages and it is kind of cool that you see a modern built store on it. food was ok, but not that great, almost all of the food we ordered tasted kind of bland and lack in flavors. prices are ok as well since the service is great and ambiance as well.

interiors a bit dim for my liking and a bit small.

ordered the amsterdam burger,my favorite and staple item the goat cheese salad and the truffe french beans .im craving for sauerkraut that's why i ordered it instead of the foie gras burger.

goat cheese salad- cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, raspberry vinaigrette , greens.a multi dimensional salad.asian take on the goat cheese while very western on the dressing.goast cheese was wrapped inside a wonton paper then deep fried creating a crispy texture while the vinaigrette was on the fruity sweet and tangy taste.

truffle french beans - simple french beans served ala fries. beans we're covered with nice batter that created a double layers of crispyness.a great side ,prefer this than fries.

amsterdam burger-te house beef patty with gruyere, pastrami, sauerkraut, mustard and secret sauce.nice caramelized saurkraut ,the sweet smell yet a bit of sour note made the burger sandwich unique.the layer of pastrami on top add a bit of smokyness into it.mustard provides tanginess while the onions texture and sweetness .simple made complex in a good way.

with the ingenuity, reasonable price tag and good service ,pound always delivers.

went there on a weekday night, theplacewas full but we were able to get a table outside fast, since we have our dog with us. there are many servers around, they look clean in their uniform, courteous and attentive. ordered their dollar promotion which included 6 items such as the sliders, onion rings and pasta. the pastas tasted good, the slider's patty we loved, as well as the truffle fries :) will come back for their other items.

i was in the ermita area with my mom last saturday for some errands, and when lunch time came, i invited her for lunch at robinson'splacemanila. i'm glad how this mall has been keeping up with the foodie scene, constantly adding new restaurants under its wing. for instance, there are more than 5 soon to open restaurants in the midtown area of the mall. ✨ exciting!

psa: this branch of pound is still offering their $1 menu items, and the promo will run until november 20 -- so you still have plenty of time to visit.

we got everything from the dollar menu (just php 50 per item!!!), save for the onion cube (we aren't big fans of onions):

my mom actually liked this better than the chicken burger. and because of its size, the cloying feel is kept to a minimum. i'm amazed at how intricate this looks, given that it's around just 2 inches in diameter. my mom said it is packed with flavor as well, and appreciates how the veggies and sauces help manage the grease of the slider. 👌👌👌

✔ secret slider - ⭐⭐
okay. so this was underwhelming. i don't even get why it is called this way... but it was really meh for me. the patty was tasty, but a bit dry. the cheddar was just a blob of bland cheese. 😓

✔ goat cheese salad - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
okay, i might be a bit biased here, but, i loved this mainly because of the raspberry vinnaigrette! 😍💕 the greens were crisp and fresh, and i love how the goat cheese was enclosed in wonton wrapper then fried -- i've never had anything like it! 👍

✔ truffle ketchup fries - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
i appreciated the fries more this time around. the fries were fried until golden and crispy, and they served it with tomato ketchup drizzled with truffle oil. that resulted to a rich ketchup that will make you dip your fries one after the other. 🍟👌

✔ pound pomodoro - ⭐⭐⭐
serving size is just right. the pasta noodles are al dente, and the sauce coated each strand of noodle quite well. though, i wished the sauce was seasoned better as it was quite bland for my taste. or maybe some more parmesan cheese would do the trick? 😏

✔ #te crispy chicken burger (php 225) - ⭐⭐⭐
it was love at first bite on the first time i tried this at their megamall branch. however, it was a different story this time. jayson jao was right. it was saltier than expected, so i did not enjoy it as much. the chicken patty was huge, but the juiciness was not intact. i also wish there were more slaw, so it could cut through the oiliness of the fried chicken.

service was just okay. servers are quite busy because we visited during lunch time. food was served after a couple of minutes, and i'm glad we did not have to wait for too long. ambiance-wise, the restaurant was nice, as it adapted the cage-like design of pound in megamall. 😊 but, the area was too small, and tables are placed too close to each other! 😓 my introvert self hates the lack of personal space in this restaurant. 😞

to sum it up, it was an okay experience. food was cheap (because of the promo), so we did not have to shell out a lot for our "feast" that day. 😆 but, i'd have to say that the food was nothing extraordinary.
