i had dinner at this place on montauk highway (locally k.a main st in babylon village on new york's long island.
this time i came alone so i was more able to pay attention to the restaurant. i entered the place from the rear after parking my car in one of the small lots behind, passing by it's busy kitchen. i was greeted bycarriew. ,who became my server, and a perfect server she was indeed. she asked me for my whole order but i asked her to bring my beer first, then i ordered the
1- french onion soup with the cheese cover and bread inside
it was very good.
2- chicken jambalaya with andouille sausage pieces
while i ate the soupcarrieasked how it tasted.
while waiting for the jambalaya,i decided i wanted a side dish
(not included). the request did not takecarrieoff her game.
i toldcarrieto tell the chef that the combo of "heat" and flavor in the chicken was perfect.
in all my dinner was excellent in this restaurant bar with an industrial ambiance.
