had reservations at porcini’s. was seated right away on a saturday night.greatatmosphere with food to match. for my appetizer i had the crab cakes. these crab cakes were damn near perfect. i could’ve just ate several plates of those and would’ve been fine. the beef filet i had for my entree was equally as good. cooked perfectly and had the right amount of crust on the edges. never felt rushed by the waiter and he even put up with us after several drinks. porcini’s is agreatplace and i definitely would visit again.

absolutely phenomenal! every visitor to the louisville area must experience this restaurant. service isgreatand the food is fantastic. the price point is a bit higher, but the value follows in suit. delicious and innovative food options and comfortable atmosphere--a louisville must-try!

porcini is agreatspot for a mid-week date night, which allows you to avoid the large weekend crowds in this small space. although the space could be expanded and updated, the service was dutiful and knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine!

porcini has an extensive wine list - my wife ordered a glass of delicious lemelson pinot noir (from oregon). as an appetizer, we ordered the fritto di formaggio di capra (lightly breaded goat cheese, fresh basil and pomodoro sauce, with toasted ciabatta), which was prepared with fresh ingredients and was an amazing blend of savory and sweet.

for her entree, my wife ordered the linguine gamberi palermo (fresh grilled shrimp, olives, roasted peppers, capers, toasted pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted garlic, basil and parmigiano reggiano). i ordered the pollo al marsala (sautéed chicken breast, marsala wine sauce and mushrooms), served with yukon gold mashed potatoes, and squash and zucchini.

the menu largely consists of "classic" entrees, but it is tough to complain when they are perfectly executed with fresh ingredients and quality presentation.

excellent.greatservice,greatfood, nice wine selections, and an overall perfect night out. fish specials are outstanding and ample- not some ridiculously small portion that you'd get served at other high-end restaurants. timing of courses is spot-on. the owner, tim, is agreatguy- friendly and came by to chat for a second and then again stopped for a minute on our way out. what a classy joint! but it's comfortable and you don't feel like you're in a stuffy, snooty eatery. a bit dark and very noisy- but that means it's packed. and it should be. will for sure make this a regular stop for us after only sporadic visits in the past years.

the food is always fantastic here. they have delicious fish specials and hearty portions. i don't mind the price of the food because it is worth it and i am full even when i order fish! the tuscan beans and shrimp are always agreatstarter.

pure heaven and accomidating. not onyl did these people totally accomidate me and my folks with special orders to have a table specially set for my folks anniversery, the service was premium and the food was , well theres not decribing howgreatit is, causegreatis a understatement. i have been there a few time, cant afford it anymore and since my pop has passed, but they made it one of the most special nights for my parents and myself and for that i will never ever forget! thank you for all you did for me and my folks!

great authentic italian cuisine, nice atmosphere, andgreatservice. the server even knew about the wines, something of a rarity in louisville, even in some upscale restaurants. this was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. plan on going back soon.
