great potential. we have been coming to thislocationof pizzeria prima strada since it opened. we chose it because back then it was not as busy as the cook street location. my son and i visited last friday night. when we arrived one of the servers asked for my name and said there was a wait without volunteering a wait time. i was a little surprised as i saw empty tables but then did notice some other parties waiting. so we waited. fairly quickly two tables of two left. so i thought we would be seated. but we waited. we decided the tables must be reserved. sometime later a waittress comes by and asks if we are waiting for take out. no we said so she directed us to one of the tables. but really it didn't matter where we were as we waited an excessive amount of time for our starters.my impression was that even with three servers being on and the room not quite being full the kitchen and wait staff couldn't handle the number of people. the wine list was extremely lean. the menu as well extremely limited. usually we rely on the specials but that list was fairly sparse as well - just one pizza which had meat which i don't eat. the regular menu seemed to just have a few variations of regular cheese pizza some with meat. the prices seemed very high for what we received although the food was extremely delicious. seems to be another restaurant resting on its laurels.

love the food but the staff at this specificlocationare the worst. group larger than six so they auto gratuity 18% but don't tell you. i had visited the website and was aware so i told the table. the server proceeded to tell me, rudely, that she had told everyone at the table which was a lie she had not told a single person. had a reservation but still had to wait 30 min to get our table and were not thanked for our patience i won't visit thislocationagain.

while we were waiting multiple parties left the resturant upset.

this was my first visit to prima strada's bridge streetlocationafter eating at their cook street restaurant on a couple of occasions.
overall it was a pleasant experience and a good meal. i actually prefer the layout of the bridge street restaurant. it's not as crampt and the atmosphere is more relax.
my friend and i split their clam and mussel in broth appetizer from the specials board. it was pretty good. not the best i've had but pleasant. i would have preferred a more fulsome broth but my dining companion really liked it. different strokes i suppose.
we split their prosciutto pizza for our main. no real complaints from me, except i would have preferred some more orageno in the sauce. i would describe the amount of prosciutto to be generous. they did not scimp.
we each had a glass of a very pleasant wine - a merlot - and the bill with tax but before tip was $55.
service was very good. friendly but not imposing.
overall a good diner out. it's pizza, so don't expect a culinary masterpiece. i would describe it as a good, honest and slightly upscale meal. worth the price.

i used to be a customer, and they have great pizza, but after the way i was just treated by 3 of their staff at the bridge st.locationi will never go back and will make sure all our big corporate orders stop. they were incredibly rude and unaccommodating. wake up guys, you're doing well right now but don't let it go to your head. ignoring customers who are waiting to be acknowledged and then treating them like dirt when you finally do is a recipe for losing business. you just lost mine - big time! you guys acted very full of yourselves on the floor and in the kitchen tonight and it was not cool. i won't be back. too bad, because i was a fan of your product.

poor service. this is the second time i've been to the bridge st.locationand was disappointed. we waited with 3 children for the only table that could possibly come up (and it looked good as they were finished when we arrived), as the entire place was full of huge parties. we waited over half an hour while the target party lingered over empty glasses, and the staff did nothing to move them along, like take away empty glasses, remove napkins etc. when we finally got our table we had to go find a high chair ourselves and we weren't asked if we wanted drinks. the food was good as usual but not worth the hassle. update: just realized the usual 'front of the house' person was away ... this is no doubt why we had a negative experience

i like it!. great thin crust pizza and a small array of other italian dishes. very cool decor. wood fired oven, with firewood around the outside walls. it just opened yesterday, but i can imagine the bridge streetlocationreally being a destination.

in fact, it's so new they haven't fully finished the work. which adds interest, to my mind.
