today is a sad day. i've been to this location a couple of times, but this is my 1st time back in the last 2 years. i'm seeing photos on here of the same food i ordered but what i was served looked nothing like what others have been given. they no longer have theirlunchspecial, which was a really good deal and was the main reason i ever went. theirlunchprices are on the higher side for alunchmenu. i ordered the georgio pizza, and my friend ordered the margarita pizza. when the food came out, it looked like they were rationing all the toppings, including sauce and cheese. in my opinion there was not $9 worth of food there. our server was just as dry and bland. she didn't seem to enjoy the customer side of her serving job. we were on alunchbreak and really didn't want to spend the time talking to the manager and/or sending food back. so we ate our food, paid the tab, and tipped on par with the very bland and dry service. while we were walking out, the server stopped us at the door and explained to us the food could have been fixed, but that wasn't her fault, so to leave such a small tip was "a shame". again, putting our frustration aside and not waste any more time getting back to work, we did not escalate the issue, told her we paid for what we got, and walked away. i was fine thinking maybe it was just an off day for the cook, and next time it could be as good as it used to 2 years ago. but to have a server follow me out of the establishment and tell me it's not fair to give them as little as i did, is unacceptable. pizza republica is not worth their menu prices.
