pizza republica

the garlic flavor was intense. see those nutty looking things on the arugula? that's crispy, delicious, fried garlic. there's even more buried among the sauce and cheese. the four of us each liked this pizza in exact proportion to how much we liked garlic. it will keep the vampires away (if you're worried about such a thing).

pizza republica has become an italian staple in greenwood village. they offer authentic wood-fired neapolitan pizzas, house-made mozzarella, seafood, and pasta dishes. they have partnered with local and specialty purveyors and farms such as; colorado hybrid striped bass from alamosa, sweet escapes pastry’s known for all gluten free products, polidori sausage, papardelles pasta, haystack mountain goat cheese, and other local organic producers and growers. they have wine list featuring over 100 hand-selected italian wines are just a few of the reasons pizza republica has been called, “the perfect spot for a romantic date out or to socialize with your friends.”

great overall experience. the pizza was amazing. everything was super fresh, and blended very well. the italian beer they have on tap hit the spot. can't wait to come back!

today is a sad day. i've been to this location a couple of times, but this is my 1st time back in the last 2 years. i'm seeing photos on here of the same food i ordered but what i was served looked nothing like what others have been given. they no longer have their lunch special, which was a really good deal and was the main reason i ever went. their lunch prices are on the higher side for a lunch menu. i ordered the georgio pizza, and my friend ordered the margarita pizza. when the food came out, it looked like they were rationing all the toppings, including sauce and cheese. in my opinion there was not $9 worth of food there. our server was just as dry and bland. she didn't seem to enjoy the customer side of her serving job. we were on a lunch break and really didn't want to spend the time talking to the manager and/or sending food back. so we ate our food, paid the tab, and tipped on par with the very bland and dry service. while we were walking out, the server stopped us at the door and explained to us the food could have been fixed, but that wasn't her fault, so to leave such a small tip was "a shame". again, putting our frustration aside and not waste any more time getting back to work, we did not escalate the issue, told her we paid for what we got, and walked away. i was fine thinking maybe it was just an off day for the cook, and next time it could be as good as it used to 2 years ago. but to have a server follow me out of the establishment and tell me it's not fair to give them as little as i did, is unacceptable. pizza republica is not worth their menu prices.

good one. nice space, pleasant people, good food. good combo, that. lots of choices on the wine list, poor though, with only one draft beer. the wedge salad was good, the lardons really only kinda burnt bacon, but this isn't france or spain where you can get lardons. otherwise, crisp, moist, good. the pizza was high level. burnt a bit to our request. tasty crust, rich sauce. good on all levels. winner.

...the char from the bread melds beautifully with the tangy spice of the broth, which is laced with oregano, garlic, shallot, white wine, red pepper and spices.

we were immediately seated upon entering and i quickly felt a little under-dressed in my baseball hat and t-shirt. i wasn't expecting such well dressed clientele for a pizza shop. fresh burrata our server took his time getting to us, which was okay as we looked through the rather extensive wine list. my only real complaint so far was that the cheapest glass of wine started at $7, which seemed a little high to me. of course when we asked for a suggestion on a dry red wine, we were given $11 glasses of wine. after i had my second glass later in

great, great, great!!!!. my girlfriend and i wanted a nice evening out and pizza republica was highly recommended by many friends of ours. i love pizza and was quite excited to go. i did not realize how much more my love for pizza could grow! the service was exceptional! the food was amazing! i still haven't stopped craving the food...i even wanted it for breakfast the next morning! too bad it was so delicious no leftovers made it out of the restaurant that night :) the wine list was extensive and our server was extremely friendly and willing to help us make decisions throughout the evening.

i will be back and i assure you everyone must experience pizza republica!

new head chef at pizza republica. eric chiappetta, owner of chiappetta concepts (bombshell bbq sauce) and 3top, llc, has joined pizza republica at the landmark as their head chef this month (http://www.ericchiappetta.com). eric is brilliant in the kitchen and has already started serving up some of his own creations which accompanies the best authentic neapolitan pizza and italian dishes in denver. the atmosphere is an a+. this is a must stop for foodies and wine lovers...

shame on pizza republica. after nearly a year of being loyal customers and holding our monthly meetings at pizza republica, our nonprofit organization asked for a donation for our annual fundraiser (noting, again, that we have paid for our monthly dinners there and that we have never before asked for anything). we were first told by the manager that they don't give at all; later, after speaking with the owner, we were given a gift certificate for such a paltry sum that the owner himself was clearly ashamed - he directed us to pick it up at a time when he was certain not to be there. greenwood village has a strong sense of community - pizza republica obviously hasn't caught on yet. shame on them.

not impressed. it's too bad pizza republica is still in business, but hopefully the doors will be closing soon. i don't have a problem with a business making a mistake, but it is then up to the business to make it right with the customer....something that this business does not see the necessity to do. it is unfair to the customer to run a groupon through june 1 and then close over memorial day weekend and not extend the groupon for those who drove 30 minutes one way (an hour round trip) to try and use it. it is more troubling that the business person then lies to that customer twice in the conversation - once saying that they could not extend the time because of groupon's policies (incorrect because other businesses who have had trouble meeting their timelines for a variety of reasons have not put this off as groupon's issue) and then telling me that they were only closed on monday (again not true...they were closed on sunday night and all day monday). but worse than all is the attitude of the person who would not yield and made the entire issue my fault and did so in such an incredibly rude manner. the happy thing is that, when i spoke to him, he was in a darkened building as the entire restaurant had lost its power and had to close for yet another evening. bad karma perhaps? there are a lot of pizza places out there and there is no need to support a business who does not take care of its customers. shame on you pizza republica.

best neighborhood party. i used pizza republica catering for our neighborhood party. everyone loved the food. they worked with our budget and they were friendly and fun. thanks rikki, jake, george and even mike. we have eaten there several times now and it is our new favorite place.
