no matter where you go for pizza you'll never get better home made pizza. my kids have all moved off and when they come home it's always pizza king for dinner. if they convince me it's "order one and bring it to us if you're coming for a visit". don't forget their house salad dressing!

a tradition. yes, this is a longview tradition. no, it's not the best in the world. but it is great for a friday night! the crust is great and the sausage has just enough kick to make you love it. my only negative is the wait.

love love love this pizza! my brother lives in west texas and each time he comes in, he has to eat there at least once. i've been going there since i was a little girl and i hope it stays in longview forever. it's definitely a city landmark!

hands down the best. i've grown up in longview and eaten this all my life. i am a snob when it comes to pizza. i won't eat it unless it's pizza king. the "everything except anchioves" is super!!! there is so many toppings on the pizza you have to clean out the box when you get done with the pizza. it is a super clean place also. it use to be a run down dive. but they rebulit on site and it is great.

they do go on vacations and shut down...so call ahead to see if they are open.

also gets really busy on fri and sat night. everyone in longview eats at 6pm so go earlier than that!!

pizza king is the king in this town for sure. loved the pizza and it was loaded with toppings. i ordered the king’s delight which is basically a supreme. lots of meats and veggies. and green olives are always a plus. the crust really stood up to amount of toppings they throw on here. i also had a small chefs salad. that is a meal in itself. side note- killer ranch dressing. nothing small about it. staff was great and super friendly.

this is a longview staple; it’s been here for over 40 years. they’ve remodeled and added menu items over the years, but the pizza tastes exactly like it did when i️ was a child. it’s always a favorite, for people that have moved away, to eat at when returning to longview to visit family.

i've completely lost my taste for this place. it's just not very good to me anymore. i saw a review from an out of towner either on here or on yelp that described the pizza crust as "saltine cracker like". that's pretty spot on. the sauce is too tangy, like it is on a lot of frozen pizzas. just don't enjoy it at all anymore.

great atmosphere, staff etc but it's way down my list anymore.

let down. i came here solo to get a pizza and a salad. i ended up getting a med pepperoni and a green crisp salad.
1.) the salad: ok, cheap lettuce not a lot of green leaves, ranch dressing satisfactory. consistent for $2.60 i guess
2.) the pizza: hot and fresh but i could have gone to walmart and gotten a thin crust red baron pepperoni pizza that would have been cheaper and tasted as good if not better.

urban spoon has it as 90% liked and i don't see how. unfortunately, in my opinion, papa johns has better taste and value.

one of the best things about doing the audition in dallas for masterchef junior season 2 was getting to visit my cousin michael in longview tx. he was in college there and i got to see the campus and it was all really cool. we took him out for dinner and you might not know this, but longview is a small town. we asked siri the best place to go and she said pizza inn. the inside was really cute with all kinds of vintage cars and trucks. it had a 50's diner feel and i liked it.   i was not expecting much in terms of the food. i mean it is a small town and all. but it was really good. we got some salad and ordered maybe 3 pizzas. we wanted to leave michael with some extra food. you know he is a college guy and probably always can find a friend to share pizza. i enjoyed the pizza. it was fresh, cheesy and well a pretty good pizza! michael liked it too, and when he told his mom where he was, she told us that is the first place she went on a date with michael's dad. michael had never been so

gluten free greatness!. i was thrilled when i recently found out pizza king offered gluten free crust. i haven't had pizza in a year since having to eliminate wheat from my diet, so the first chance i got, i headed in to pizza king to try it out. i thought it was delicious! the thin, crispy crust tasted great. toppings were fresh, and the sauce was very good. i do not eat cheese either and they had no problem making it for me without cheese. i will definitely go back again for more. the gluten free pizza only comes in one size (approx. 9") and is a $3 up-charge from the prices listed on the menu for their small pizzas. the pizza we ordered ended up being around $8.50. my husband and i split it for lunch with him also eating a small chef salad. for dinner, i would probably order 2 and would likely have a few pieces left over. (fyi: i grew up eating regular pizza king pizzas and loved them...but the gluten free crust is not like their regular wheat crust, so don't be expecting that! however, if you need to eat gluten free, i don't think you'll be disappointed.)

controversial pizza. this is a jg score of 7 out of 10
+3 for the pizza and the house dressing to dip it in from us. this is not our 1st time to eat here over the years but it is our 1st urbanspoon review here. the pizza is what this place is known for. we have tried the subs and they are okay especially for the price; we have tried the philly cheese steak and it is good for the price; the pizza ;however is great. whether it is a pepperoni pizza loaded with pepperoni, one of the specials or our favorite, the supreme, they are all delicious (esp dipped in the house dressing). when this place is mentioned from time to time, it seems like people either love this pizza or not= no middle ground.
+1 for atmosphere. the newer setting and decor is nice when compared to the old and cramped prior building but they have the same old problem= it is always too crowded almost to enjoy the whole eating experience.
+1 for price
+1 for fountain diet dr pepper and great ice.
0 for service which is always fine but they are swamped mostly.
+1 for we will return again probably many times to come
