healthy well priced food in a casual setting. whenever we want to go out for healthy, well prepared food, we go to apitajungle. my hubby likes the hummus and chicken and i especially enjoy the chicken schwarma (served with a greek salad) . the lentil salad is also very tasty. for a treat ask if they have baklava: sweet but worth every calorie. only drawback is that when it gets crowded, the ray road location gets very loud. dine on their patio when the weather is fine.

always good..... this is one of those places where you can just count on the food and service being good. they have it figured out. you can feel comfortable in taking friends, a date, or parents here.

my favorites are their chicken salad loaded w veggies, raisins, etc., hummus andpitabread, chicken schwarma wrap thing and the portabello sandwich.

i'm elated that they finally moved into ahwatukee!

consistently good food. i've never had a meal atpitajungle (either location) that i didn't like. i love their hummus, tzatziki, baba ganoush, and pickles. and, their chicken is always done properly (moist, tender and yet thoroughly cooked.) i now live on the other side of the us, but i still think about and misspitajungle.

a decent place to have hummus andpitaand gyros. tried the hummus served withpitabread and it was nothing exceptional and tasted as it should do.

tried the shawarmapitaand i have tried shawarma all over the world and this was not even close to what it should actually be. this was just chicken with hummus in it and some veggies. where as shawarma is made differently on a dedicated machine with lots of mayo and pickled carrots etc. this was just another meat wrap, but the name was shawarma.

the food is good just wraps and salads filled with hummus and veggies and meat. try out if you are hummus fan. they have variety of hummus.

the food was really good ,especially the hummus . we had been there for a team lunch and we happen to order different hummus varietys withpita. i ordered for chicken wrap and it was good too . what i and the others didnt like was the rice which comes as a side. it was bland and dull. i would suggest the management to change the rice to basmati saffron rice.

we visited for lunch on a monday. i was expecting a more fast food-type place, but this is a nicer full-service restaurant. the mediterranean food was delicious! we started with the garlic dip, known elsewhere as skordalia, and it was excellent. i had a falafelpitawhich was also very good, though i did ask for a side of tzatziki because it wasn't very saucy and had a good helping of lettuce. we ordered a kids plate, which my two year old mostly threw on the ground, but i was impressed with the healthy variety of options for the kids meal. the service was a little slow. someone came often to refill our drinks, but after the food was delivered the waitress didn't check in much and i had to signal to get her attention and ask for the bill. prices were fairly reasonable, with two entrees, two drinks, an appetizer, and kids meal coming in at $32 with tax. not a super-cheap lunch but not outlandish either. overall it was really good and i'll be going back often for sure.

guest reviewer labash, which is french for wa bam, givespitajungle the coveted zero out of zero stars. congratspitajungle on the elite status. the only way to score a zero is to, as they say, “not get the food on the plate.”

there is nothing flashy aboutpitajungle, which for me is a plus. the service is always snappy, with a friendly touch. the prices are are affordable and the food is always good. the menu provides variety as well as the occasionally spin on a traditional entrée. eat here. your taste buds will smile.

liked it. the food was delic.... the food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. the chickenpitai ordered was not hot, so they immediately brought me a new one. i didn't even have to say anything, the server could tell there was something wrong and acted quickly to rectify the situation. the food and service were great and we will definitely go back.

overall nice but.... i like the place in general. the atmosphere is funky, the food has many healthy choices (love the wood-fired salmon salad and the wraps), the wine list is okay. however, the service is very spotty and hit and miss.
last night, we were delighted with our server. but when we mentioned that the extremely loud noise from the vacuum was bothering us (to the point where a dinner conversation was not possible), he sent the kitchen manager over who was extremely rude. "do you have a problem?", the kitchen manager asked, and when we kindly requested the noise be stopped, he flat out refused, acting as if our request was somehow outlandish.
if that's howpitajungle values its customers, i don't think i want to come here anymore. actually, i was considering it for a party of 10 out-of-town guests tonight and will be going elsewhere. can't risk vacuums next to my dinner table.

i had the mediterranean roasted chicken (shawarma) - grilled marinated chicken breast in a pita, with mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, pickels, garlic sauce and tahini. i've eaten at their restaurant in tempe and the hotpitawas just that hot when it was served. although it was still tasty, i would have preferred more than luke warm. i'll go back.

limited vegan options. today was my first visit there. i was excited at first glance of the ambiance and of the menu. wow, 3 veggie burgers! it looked as though there were a lot of vegan options. it was disappointing to find out that all their veggie burgers have dairy in them and the babaganoosh has yogurt in it. there's no reason for that, as it adds nothing but cancer causing casein protein to the food. ahh, and one gets tired of hummus all the time. if you are vegan make sure you get the separate list as it doesn't say what all the ingredients are on the menu. i'll probably go back and try the stuffed grape leaves. the veggiepitadidn't have much flavor to it, but at least it was whole food and plant based.

steve. you cannot beat happy hour for an excellent meal deal - $10 per person and you'll leave stuffed. chicken shawarmapitasandwich is best in town - ask for an extrapitaand you get two meals out of it. friendliness upon entering is non-existent, and have eaten there 50+ times, but servers are great. hostesses act like you're bothering them when you show up - a smile isn't too much effort, is it? however, have never had a bad meal there, and they are always consistent. will never stop going back. mesa location just as good, but acoustics stink - don't expect to have a calm and quiet conversation there.
