best chinese on the planet. myfamilyhas been eating @ pine tree garden for as long as i can remember. a friend introduced us to the place. ellen, the restaurant manager, has seen my daughter grow up from birth to age 19. she is now a junior in college.
we have eaten in many restaurants in the d/fw area and non compare. even p. f. chang. we have traveled extensively from orlando, florida to tennessee to new york and nothing is as good as pine tree garden. every time we crave chinese food and eat it in another state, we tell ourselves that we will never make that mistake again. but we do, and we can't wait to get back home to have the most authentic chinese around. when we eat any where else we always feel as if we are cheating on our local restaurant.
in fact, when myfamilycomes in from tennessee, every one gets something different and we set it outfamilystyle and all share, that's when it is truly the best.
the staff is never rude and is always upbeat. ourfamilyusually orders takeout and picks it up at the drive-thru window. ellen never hesitates to poke her head through the window to say hello and ask how thefamilyis doing.
we have eaten in the restaurant several times and the service is just as great. the restaurant is always clean, including the restrooms. i have seen her insist that the employees go back and clean it a second time if it doesn't pass her inspection.
she runs a tight ship and it shows in the quality of the product the restaurant. in all the time we have ordered from pine tree, and it's been very numerous, they have gotten our order incorrect exactly once. in over 19 years, just once. i don't know of any place that can say they have that kind of record. at least not in our book.
