decadently delicious. according to our server, this special treat not always present on the dessert menu, earned its name in part due to the bourbon in the sauce. don't worry. the alcohol is cooked out if the topping. but expect a gargantuan 4" x 4" by almost 2 inch high treat swimming in sauce. it is so rich i guarantee you'll want to order this to share. the brilliant creator of this brownie's recipe added complexity to the rich bourbon by adding hints of (what tastes to me) vanilla and almond. oh, and lest my lips and togue deceive me, is that the slightest slow burn of cayenne i detect? fabulous!!!!!

shared half with a friend on my last visit. the portion of ham was generous... but would run the risk of being an average ham and cheese if not for the amazing homemade apple butter served on the side. it has a deep bite of cloves that goes so nicely with the ham they use. if you order this dandwich, i say the apple butter is a must!

ordered this as a paninisandwichon my last visit. the marinated steak tips were incredibly tender and complemented nicely by the provolone and garlic mayo. have to say this has been my favorite so far, though the turkey artichokesandwichis a close second!

made with texas toast, a generously sized sandwich. topped with a nice helping of turkey and fresh spinach that are complemented by the flavors of provolone cheese and an herbed artichoke heart cream cheese. quite tasty and very reasonably priced. had three people rave about this particular menu item.

hours: t-f 10:30-2:30 sat 9-2 cash only!!!! breakfast and lunch served the entire time. write your name and number in your party on the eraser board if there's a wait (and there'll likely be a wait)! browse the antiques, locally crafted jams/cheeses and/or the tack supplies on the second floor. servers are consistently friendly and informative. the menu seems on the limited side, yet between their staple offerings and their ever-changing daily specials options, you'll have plenty to choose from. the wait is well worth it. so are the prices. you'll likely spend, at most, $9-15 per person, including what you contribute for tip. oh, and i highly recommend ordering sandwiches panini style: generously sized, cut in half, you and a friend could order two fifferent things and then share halves to try two flavors at once!

homemade, real food!. wonderful homemade soups and desserts! don't miss the peanut butter pie! we eat here for lunch frequently, and despite a few times when service was a little slow, it is a reliable destination for a tasty meal. the porky's revengesandwichis a favorite!
