not the best!. i was introduced to pho about 8 years ago, and through those 8 years i always hear people tell me how great this place is. i have tried it a handful of times and each time i wonder why i even go back. the pho is good, but nothing to rave about. i guess it is cheaper than some other places, but not near as tasty as mr. pho. i think there must be some sort of family ties to this place. it is way to loud inside and the service is just ok. they don't take credit/debit cards which is a definite minus. the egg rolls were terrible both times i tried them (thought maybe the first time was a fluke). the waters were pre-made and sitting out on the table the past two times me and my wife went. i would not recommend this place because i have given it plenty of chances and never been impressed.

as authentic as it gets.. i love eating places where the wait staff speaks little to no english. it presents unique challenges and is usually a pretty good indicator of how authentic the food is...especially if the place is ridiculously busy. that's what it was like the last time i ate here. i loved it! except i brought a credit card and no cash. whoops. next time i'll know.

the soup is wonderful and always consistent. it is a small and cozy spot, but that's what keeps me coming back. nothing like the "americanized" versions of pho houses.

awful. when i heard this restaurant was the best in downtown. i wanted to try it out. the atmosphere was disappointing and the food was not very appealing. i tried out their dac biet pho and the meal was awful. the taste of it was alright but i grew up with pho and this place wasnt right for me. i guess they were the best in downtown but not overall. the southside had better pho such as pho 89 cafe or pho lan. i rate this 5/10.

pho-bulous!. i'm something of a pho-file and this is the place. i live in tulsa and when i go to okc the first thing i think of is pho lein hoa, then the reason i'm going. fast, clean ,friendly is is but the pho is spot-on, the garnishes are fresh and plentiful. hot, aromatic, not greasy, just right noodles....add a glass of their cafe sua da and you've hit pho heaven!

the best pho!. i love this restaurant for so many reasons. first, this is the best pho that i have had anywhere in okc. they are generous with portions and the food is always prepared just right. this has become my new comfort food. also, this is a gathering place for neighborhood locals from the arts district and for vietnamese who live in large numbers close by. i get the feeling each time that i'm there that i'm in a truly warm, good neighborhood place where everyone who eats there feels very much at home. i love the customers and staff as much as the food. last, contrary to some of the reviews here, the service is very good if you understand that a restaurant that is this good and this busy will have busy waitstaff who are to-the-point. i ask questions quite a bit when i am trying something new and have received helpful treatment each time. also, if you have not been before be sure to bring cash (no credit cards). also, you pay by going to the checkout and telling them your table number. took me a while to figure that out.

do you pho? just mention the word “pho” to someone who’s had it. talk about a conversation starter. pho soup is sweeping the country as the newest (and oldest) trend. it helps that it’s a steaming bowl of good-for-you soup that just feels comforting and f

exceptional food, acceptable service. i guess you could call me a regular at pho lien hoa. it's probably my favorite restaurant in okc, if you take budgetary constraints into consideration (i.e. i would eat sushi every night if i could, preferably from tokyo japanese restaurant, but pho is much cheaper).

i see others complaining about the service. i don't have much difficulty. drinks are refilled regularly, and if you need something extra, you just have to flag down your waitstaff. they are not as overly solicitous as staff at some restaurants, but i'm pretty low-maintenance.

the pho is spectacular! i like h1, with the clear noodles. it has pork, shrimp (tails attached, watchout!) and crab (krab?). i usually also get the cool, fresh, delicious shrimp spring rolls and the cafe sua da (sp?), which is darn-near addictive it's so good.

i highly recommend this place to anyone who likes pho, or who likes a little adventure for their palatte.

the half-vietnamese side of me thanks me for eating here.. i grew up on pho lien hoa (pho hoa back in the day), and it is the pho restaurant i measure all other pho by. my family is not from around okc originally, and when making trips up here to the city my mother (full viet) would always take us here for the best pho in town. this vietnamese noodle soup is a beautiful and tasty gift to the vietnamese from the french... and pho lien hoa does it well. the broth is just perfect and like any true vietnamese i enjoy my pho with sriracha, hoisan sauce, lime, a ton of veggies, and rare beef (that cooks in the hot broth).
if you like pho, or vietnamese food at all, you need to try pho lien hao. if you don't believe me, my mother, or even the new york times (who found this jewel of a restaurant), than go by pho lien hoa and see for yourself. on any given sunday the restaurant can be found filled with vietnamese families from all around the city... maybe that'll convince you how good this place is.

i really enjoyed p16 pho tai...it's rare steak with the regular pho soup base. the service is great, the choices are endless, and it's a great value for the money. ($6 for lunch without tip)
