i have been a regular to p. s ever since it opened in november of last year; and i would have to say that it has never disappointed me. the coffee, the food, the courteousstaffhave been superb . i am slowly going through the menu but i must say that i love the specials, especially when the dessert " eton mess" is on offer .
a wonderful atmosphere aswell. 5 stars

fantastic place!. wonderfully styled and welcoming cafe in a picturesque spot on the western port bay. the natural lighting creates a great atmosphere to accompany the outstanding food and hospitality provided by pelikan societe's chef's and staff. thestaffare always smiling and willing to go the extra mile, a credit to the management. i will be back! again, and again...

visit made my day. had a really yummy meal here after checking out a couple of wineries in the mornington area. had a very delicous lamb and quinoa salad followed by some amazing tasting banana bread. thestaffwere very friendly and most accomodating to requests. i loved the sea facing view of this cafe, even a delight during the not so nice weather my friend and i encountered on our visit. next time i'm in the area i will make it my goal to get there for another meal- even if it requires a detour!

ordered gnocchi & beef hash at 12:42pm,followed up astafffrom 1:15pm for twice,delivered order to the table on 1:18pm.a manager looks like owner keep arguing it’s normal waiting,after we complain too long waiting and no one tell us should wait that longer,disappointedly.beef hash’s volumn is not enough,gnocchi is ok.beatiful view,nice staffs.

my wife and i visited on a monday for lunch.
the waitstaffwere friendly, efficient and very professional.
prices are reasonable and the food is great.
i had the chefs special mussels which were delicious and plentiful. it's a big statement to make, but the best mussels i have ever eaten.
my wife had a breakfast menu meal of poached eggs, tomato relish and avocado which was fresh and tasty.
the restaurant overlooks the marina and the view is nice.
we drove from the other side of the peninsular to visit and will be making the drive again.

this place is the real deal! 😍😎 would never have found this absolute hidden gem of a café on my own! 😁 amazing quality menu andstaffwith a fantastic view of the hastings pier and waterfront! 🌊 great indoor eating and outdoor lounging area with ample natural light from a smartly designed glass walls 👓

☑ 9/10 for this cuban that packs a damn flavour punch and a half and was brought out in a cuban cigar box! 😎👊🏽 i cant go on without outlining how good the slaw actually is 😲 probably the tastiest slaw dressings ive ever had because of its thai twist! 🔥 this slaw is a must! which brings me to my cuban 😏 tender pieces of slow roasted pork complimented with the sweetness of the pickles 🥒 distinct smokey flavour from the ham with a punchy earthy chipotle spice all brought together with a smooth comté cheese! brilliant taste! 😍 just a tad on the pricey side for a sandwich at $19.5 to be honest 💰 definitely a must try though! 🤗

ok we are locals and used to love this place but the menu simply never changes, but we tried again and still no change. the food was fine but too familiar. the girl who served us was lovely but did we really have to be seated around by the toilets in a mostly empty restaurant? the worst part was listening to thestaffchat loudly about the rude details of their personal lives, suffice to say it included what they wanted to do to their boyfriends and needing to change the sheets! you probably won’t publish this but i’m sure the owner would be horrified to know. won’t be back.

came here on a beautiful sunday afternoon for brunch. the restaurant is located near the water with a beautiful view. service was quick and thestaffwere attentive even though the restaurant was busy.

the highlight of the visit was the cuban sandwiches in the box! with a side of spicy salad that had a good kick to it. it is recommended to make a booking if you are going in a large group as it gets pretty busy on the weekends.

came to pelikan today for my birthday brunch with some girlfriends. our waitresses were lovely and the coffee and food were great but we did have one mishap. my girlfriend is gluten and dairy intolerant and was told that the gluten free bread has dairy in it and that she could have the almond granola or grapefruit brûlée without the cream fraiche. she decided on the granola but was then told it did in fact have gluten so she went with the brûlée. when her food arrived it was very small and after a while of eating my own food (the granola pictured) i noticed she didn’t look too happy. the brûlée was half of a grapefruit placed in a ramekin with the top torched. to me, this wasn’t a full meal and she was struggling to even eat the fruit out of the ramekin. i went to the counter and told them that it wasn’t really a substantial meal it was basically just 1/2 a piece of fruit and if we could order her some chips instead. this was fine. upon paying, we asked to pay separate to which the lady responded they don’t usually do that on weekends but would as it wasn’t busy. we then realised the brûlée was on our bill. i said we weren’t really happy with it and i thought it would’ve been taken off. she then got her manager who told us that the brûlée is what it is and herstaffshould’ve explained that (which they did not). very hesitantly the manager decided to not take off the $7 brûlée (it was the principal not the price that we didn’t want to pay for it) but instead gave us one of our coffees for free ($4.50). we then went to pay and she said no we don’t split bills to which we responded that the other waitress said we could. the manager responded no we don’t do that it says on our menus that we don’t. she eventually let us pay separately but with a terrible attitude about it and although we were being very pleasant, she was quite blunt and not accommodating. i enjoyed my granola and coffee very much but unfortunately probably won’t come back now ...

visited today for lunch by the water, and we were not disappointed! i ordered the chai with soy and it was authentically delish. for my meal i boldly ordered the beef tataki even though i’m not usually one for rare beef. this dish changed my mind and was by far one of the best meals i’ve had in a long time! the beef boarded on blue but i did not care, it was perfection and i couldn’t get enough. my partner ordered the wagyu pastrami sandwich, of which he enjoyed the filling but thought the bread had an odd taste he couldn’t get past. friendlystaffand a stunning view matched with yummy food - we’ll return!

greeted by the friendlystaffat this beauty location, hopes were high! unfortunately coffee was awful, and food was just ok - great sourdough but eggs were undercooked and mushroom was bland. potato croquettes were delish tho!

if you happen to be in the area. definitely stop by this great place. its spacious and thestaffthere are always welcoming. the food tasted amazing. the best thing about this place is the pancake. you need to try it. i would come back just for the pancakes. you can have the pancakes as a meal because it is quite filling. would recommend the fish and chips as well if you are sharing.

come during 11 onwards for less crowd.

if you want good food and a view. this is a place for you.

awesome goat cheese churros with goat curd and chunky avo- totally divine and yummy. nice and savoury instead of the usual sweetness of churros.staffvery good, bright and bubbly and efficient, and patient with the older members of our party who were a bit demanding. folded eggs and bacon were a big hit - large serving.

woah, this place has come a looong way!! i used to work in hastings 3 years ago & it was our morning coffee pickup location, and i didn't rate it at all besides the peaceful waterside view. now, i've been here twice in the past few months and have been blown away by the high quality meals, service & most importantly... the coffee. absolutely exquisite meals- personal favourite the lamb shakshouka (pictured). beautiful coffee & chai which were great and a big improvement. thestaffand service were of an exceptional standard & supplied us warm blankets (as we were seated outside due to it being a busy sunday morning). despite being outside we were super warm with plenty of outdoor patio heaters on. if you're in hastings or nearby, pay this place a visit!

really enjoy the coffee and fresh creative food here. would've given a higher mark, however late last year, 2016 we stopped going regularly as they have employed a very rude, tall, slender woman as matre de. prior to her arrival all of theirstaffwere lovely, especially the young men and a shorter young woman with braces who was the head waitress... she is amazing! anyway the rude new lady who practically threw menus at us... i even had to ask if she worked there! she told us we could get extra sauce for chips. she failed to tell us she would charge $2.50 for a tiny dollop of sauce. she was rude and acted like we were unreasonable when we complained. she gained $2.50, but lost 2 regulars and a good review. get rid of the rude tall woman please. the rest of yourstaffare amazing!
