have been on a trip to rishikesh in december and happened to stay at aloha. what an experience it was!!! a picturesque view of beautiful ganga flowing by and the mighty shivalik hills is inexplicable. it definitely has to be experienced.

coming to food, we were served a lavish buffet for both breakfast and lunch. it was excellent. service is great, where your preferences are delivered timely. may be it's slightly heavy on pocket. but, trust me, you are going to earn millions of memories. go and enjoy the incredible experience.

had heard about this place a lot so went with great expectations. for the views and location i would give 10/10, as for the restaurant ambience, it's pretty decent. talking about the food now, very limited menu, the taste of the food is very average but the price on the menu is highly overrated. so i would recommend this place only if you want to enjoy some coffee and snacks with a good view.

patio is the ground level restaurant at aloha! it has outdoor seating with theost breath taking views! dinner time in winters is a lovely candle lit table with an angithi right next to you! we stayed at this hotel and ended up spending a lot of time during breakfast and hi-tea. what stands out is also the extra-ordinary service by all the staff at the patio!

in terms of the a la carte menu, they have a great variety. i personally liked the "himalya ke chulhe se" meal

the patio restaurant is a definite go-to place for anyone who enjoys good food, super landscapes, peaceful serene surroundings along with warm and courteous staff.

ambience: the restaurant is a patio restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. the cane lampshades along with the green plants and the yellow napkins - add warmth to the interiors. i would give it 4/5.

food: the menu is interesting mix of dishes from various states of india. this is indeed a refreshing change from most menus.
drinks: the smoked chaatch is a must try. i would give it 5/5.
appetisers: the dahe ke kebab, paniyaram, chilly paneer were all exceptional
main course: the palak parathas with dal, biryani, burger, sandwich, pizza- all were exceptional.

a must visit place when you are in rishikesh !

we went there for a family dinner, this is one of the best fine dining restaurant. everything thing was perfect - view, service, food! we ordered paneer tikka in starter - it was very fresh and well cooked.
in main course we ordered rajma chawla and daal makhni with palak and mirchi parantha. both of the dishes tasted were delicious. even there white butter was very fresh and nice.
in desert we ordered moong dal halwa and gulab jamun. both were awesome.
food quality and taste was too good.

they had live music too which was icing on the cake !

bill for 4 people was around 2700.

we stayed at the place while visiting rishikesh and this was the place where we had our dinners.
the place is beautiful, nestled within the shivalik hills. the breathtaking mountains and flowing ganges provide a sense of serenity.

ambiance of the location is incomparable. and the place is perfect for a romantic getaway and candle lit dinner with live singing :-). an experience that will be remembered for a long time.

pricing wise - the price is on the higher side for the dishes and the quantity. but given the place and services offered the pricing is kind of justified.

the dishes at the place are named after the places that ganges visits/ flows through and the menu comprises of the famous dishes from each of the place respectively.
coming to the food part:
soups:
1. tomato soup: did not leave an impression. seemed a little uncooked to me. the best part were the cut garlic kind of raw that came into the mouth that would lend the much needed flavor to the soup. can be definitely missed. i will rate is as a 2/5
2. lemon coriander: i have had much much better versions of this soup. the lemon had been added so much that the soup had become bitter and i could not taste the coriander that this soup is known for. it was only lemon. the cabbage added was fibrous and not edible. this soup too i would rate it as 2/5

main course:
margarita pizza: safe play. this was thin crust pizza. very tasty perfectly cooked with generous amount of cheese. i rate it as 4/5

garhwali platter: this comprised of dal, rice, pyaaz tamatar ki sabzi, alloo ki sabzi, chutney 1 with salt, jeera, hari mirch and chutney 2 with salt, and red colored (dont know the exact ingredients).
dal and rice were very tasty, the pyaaz-tamatar sabzi lip smacking. the two chutneys with generous amount of salts lended extra flavour to the entire dish.
this dish is a must have.

hirsal platter that comprised of rajma and chawal:
the chillis served with the rajma and rice were amazing. the rajma was average.

ghat ki aloo sabzi: this was standard fare where tamatar ke shorbe ka aloo was served with puri, with hari chutney and tamatar ki meethi chutney. this dish was again average.

overall the place is a must visit for experiencing the ambiance.

we took a stroll to the place and it got us hook to the view. the ambience along with the music makes it very perfect for romantic dates. for food chef manish and server informed that the theme of restaurant is to serve the true food of himalayan village. we toon 2 platings and both were perfect. himalya ke chulhe se is nice dish, the details are so raw that the rice is made in pressure cooker and is sticky as same prepared in himalayan village. the next dish nh7 parantha was pure bliss with a sumptuous dal makhni and white butter. over and all i would recommend you to visit the place , very courteous staff too..:)

been a few times , once at day time and other times at night, beautiful place to be besides ganges take in all the fresh air outdoors or sit inside with a unique ambience and interiors , awsome different menu , but would like some more options in the indian cuisine just lacking in that , otherwise a must go place.

sip your cuppa ..... in the foothills of shivalik mountains !!

patio is the ground level restaurant at aloha rishikesh, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. outdoor seating lets you witness the breathtaking shivalik mountain range foot hills while the holy ganges flows roaringly down across your seat. its cool and chilled out since you get the breeze across the river which hits your face while you are sitting there !

they have a fusion menu of many cuisines, both indian, continental and italian so you can decide what you want to have or can taste a bit of everything on the menu like fusion on your platter!

food is tasty and they do make efforts to dish out the best for you. they also have a coffee machine where you can pour yourself a cuppa, directly from the machine. over all a good experience no doubt !!

nice place with a wide variety of food, situated right on the banks of river ganges. they also have live music in the evening. slightly expensive but the experience and quality of food makes up for it
