parson's is one of those restaurants that doesn't really need an introduction... just go to the north side of chicago and ask for the best atmosphere, patio, frozen drinks and sandwiches, and someone will take you to parson's.
is there a wait? well, yeah... especially when the weather is really nice or peak hours on the weekend. but, it's worth it. just have a negroni slushy (or several) at the bar and people watch while you wait.
it's like a hotchickenrestaurant in nashville, but of the chicago hipster variety... meaning you can also find menu items like my pictured pimento toast (still on the menu) and octopus salad (replaced with a farrow winter salad). very vegetarian friendly!
this is also a great place to bring out-of-town friends... or, if you have parents like mine, they can find good food that doesn't sound "too weird."
