yuck. a horrible, experience!!! the cherry tomatoes in my salmon salad were rotten and i dug each one out to show the hostess/cashier. when getting water from the soda fountain the whole thing shook along w/ the pipes and no water came out, you'd think someone would notice and help out or put an "out of order" sign on it. i ordered a new meal of marinara gnocci... and guess what -more cherry tomatoes in it!! the server said the cook checked and there were not rotten tomatoes in that plate -what? do you think i want more cherry tomatoes -no! and last but not least, that server knew the person i was dining with, who happens to be the sales rep for a product at parisi's and did the server offer a discount on our meals or drinks -no! i'm very disappointed and will not be going back!

one of my favorites. i used to live very close to parisi and had many good meals here. having lived in italy for several years and have been back to italy on several occasions i consider myself a lover of italian food. parisi is a wonderfully unpretentious trattoria that serves simple, well made and authentic italian food. i always get my money's worth here and never feel like i didn't get my money's worth. i've certainly paid more for worse, and never paid less for better.

i've had quite a few items on the menu, but the maialona pizza's, calzone's, spaghetti carrettiera, and penne amatriciana are amongst my favorites that are on the regular menu. often times the specials are excellent as well. if you have the chance stop in - you won't be disappointed.

authentic, affordable & delicious. when we returned from italy we looked at all the top rated italian restaurants online to see which ones actually sold the food that we found on the menus in rome. parisi was the only one that came close. not only that, the quality is top notch. although it's more than a half hour from where we live, we go as often as we can!

not a fan. food was subpar, service outright insulting and got foodpoisoning twice from the deli. pastas especially the ravioli and gnochi from frozen throughly disappointing and overpriced.

i recently attended a media dinner at firenze a tavola below parisi, a terrific casual italian restaurant, deli and gelateria. the atmospheric downstairs restaurant, inspired by tuscan villas and country inns, is cozy and inviting. simone parisi was born

great food in a casual atmosphere. wood-fired pizza and gelato are fabulous. pasta dishes are fresh and tasty. service is always on point. highly recommended.

we had the new years eve prix fixe menu. it offered poor bang for the (very high) buck. the food was mostly good, but several dishes missed on flavor or execution. (my partner quite enjoyed the gnocchi in rabbit ragu, however.)

overall there were two primary issues:
1) it was a four-course menu and the first three plates were *enormous*. each course was a full meal in itself. by the second half of the menu diners are forced either to waste huge amounts of food or stuff themselves beyond the ability to enjoy the next course.
2) the sheer amount of food translates to high prices. the two of us had the prix fixe menu and a glass of wine each. after tip it was a $240 meal - and simply not worth it at that price.

again, the food was mostly good and i imagine the typical daily dining experience there is enjoyable.

our favorite place to go to whenever we are back in denver. we always start with their fritto misto, followed by gnocchi bolognese for me & a mascarpone and prosciutto pizza for my husband. great food!!

where did the flavor go?. once a great hidden gem in denver has now changed into a big flavorless chain-like restaurant.
i used to come here for a pizza and a loaf of bread. it is not the same and even the decor has turned bland. so sorry you are gone parisi.

mozzarella di buffalo (upcharge of $4) = globs of the cheese on top of the regular pizza, instead of the pizza prepared and cooked w the buffalo. horrible.

what happened to parisi. wow!!! parisi is dead. it has been replaced by mediocre food, and stark impersonal decor. the amazing oliva sandwich is gone, the pizza is like chain pizza with the fantastic unique toppings gone. the gnocchi was ok, but not fresh as in the past. big big disappointment. this used to be the best restaurant in denver, now... no real reason to go back.

what happened???. my husband and i had our first date at parisi, and the past few years we dined here for nearly every birthday, anniversary, promotion, holiday, "date night", or any other time we felt like having a reliably fantastic meal. a few times, we tried the basement restaurant firenze a tavola, but preferred the ambiance, and menu of parisi. this restaurant became very sentimental to us, and we will always have great memories over too many carafes of wine. tragically, that's all we can chalk parisi up to now...great memories. the name of the restaurant should have been changed with the remodel, because this is not parisi. i don’t know what this is, but parisi died along with the beautiful, rustic, romantic ambiance. the decor is now stark, cold, and void of any original, or remotely unique character. the odd layout almost feels like a cafeteria, and i felt like we were actually eating our dinner with the family in the next booth. i’m a fan of the new bar area, and can understand the choice to minimize the market feel, but this now resembles a generic chain restaurant at best. my husband had the prosciutto, ruccola e parm, and it was basically a salad thrown on top of an obviously pre-made cheese pizza. they do offer an actual pizza salad, but that’s not what this was supposed to be. it was awful. i had the tagliatelle al funghi, and it was pretty good despite swallowing something slimy, and not discernible as any of the listed ingredients. unfortunately though, i can find a decent pasta dish closer to home. we always made a point to make the drive to parisi, because of the overall experience. that experience is gone, and a decent pasta dish is not enough of an incentive to return. in my opinion the remodel, and new menu was a huge mistake.

yuk!. wow, parisi recently remodeled and we just finished an early dinner there. we've been going there for years, but now things have realy gone downhill. the gnocchi pesto and the penne salmone & asparagi had clearly been prepared hours (days?) beforehand and were barely lukewarm. both had an obvious dried layer on top (the pesto was a different color below). the gnocchi was like mush and the penne was quite dry. it was crowded as always, but that will end if they don't get it together soon. very disappointing. hope we don't get sick...
