thefoodwas just delicious! we really loved how cosy the dining area is and the wines aren't too shabby either. the wine tasting is right where you pay and so we tasted and left with a heap of new wines!

had a quick 4 course meal at paringa for lunch- we really couldn't complain.foodcame out quick, we had roast pork, squid/oyster, duck and a dessert. my husband had cheese instead, and we could barely finish our food. everything was delicious and as the restaurant has been renovated, we had a spectacular view of the vineyard. also did some wine tasting before our lunch, bought some tasty olive oil and an amazing bottle of shiraz.
$90 pp for 4 course lunch.

we were very excited to finally try paringa, but were sadly left very disappointed.
thefoodwas nice, but we got the sense the staff couldn’t care less about our experience.
my partner booked online and wrote a request for a window table and champagne to celebrate a special occasion. he called immediately after and then the day before just to be safe because he had wanted to surprise me.
this request seemed to have been forgotten/ ignored. once we were seated i asked if it would be possible to move tables when one opened up and gently reminded them of our request. we were told that “it was just a request, with no guarantees”. the request was then promptly ignored again despite a window table sitting empty for most of our meal.

we were really looking forward to our meal at paringa estate.
i’m hopeful that the recent pandemic is the reason for the below parfoodbut the menu was extortionately expensive given thefoodwe received.

we started with a “scallop” dish; this wasn’t really a scallop, i still can’t find a way to describe the texture of this dish. i think they blended a scallop and then cooked the mousse type ingredients to the texture of halloumi.

then we had a mushroom dish. this was ok but was drowning in butter. there was an unusual overcooked hash brown type feature at the bottom of the dish.

for main a kingfish, heavy fluorescent sauce was ok but the fish was raw in the middle.

and finally dessert: a weird concoction of perhaps cheese apple and pear. i don’t think i can describe this dish either other than one bite and inedible.

i feel sad to write this review as the staff were lovely and the wine was beautiful. but for such an expensive menu i expected a lot more.

hopeful things will improve and we may consider trying again one day.

definitely not yummy.

the venue is stunning and the wine is just as good.

this place was a stop before heading down to the peninsula hotsprings. all thefoodserved here were top notch and faultless. by looking at the dishes you can tell that the chef put their heart and soul into making each plate. additionally, the view from the restaurant looking out to wine yard from one one side and mountain view from another angle, i cannot ask for more!!
please do yourself a favour and add this place to your bucket list if you are about to head down the mornington peninsula area. t

we had a previous wine tasting experience at paringa but the restaurant had been fully booked and we were unable to dine there. that was almost 2 years ago. recently we had the opportunity to visit again. the setting is very picturesque although this time spoiled a little by the vines being covered with protective netting. we also did not see as many geese! but the quality of the wine tasting and dining was excellent. although there were a few groups in the wine tasting area, we were quickly served and worked our way through the many wines available for tasting. the young man who served us was very friendly and helpful and appeared to have a good knowledge of the wines. we particularly enjoyed the white wines but were very impressed by the paringa single vineyard wines - the chardonnay, pinot noir and shiraz. we also like the estate pinot gris, viognier and pinot noir. after completing our purchases, we moved to the dining area where our table was waiting for us. there is a lovely view across the vineyard. service was prompt, friendly and informative. we chose a bottle of paringa chardonnay svw for lunch. for entrees we chose the pork belly and wagyu medallion - both were delicious, tender and tasty. for mains we chose barramundi and lamb backstrap. the barramundi was presented in a very interesting style in a bowl with mushrooms, sushi rice and a broth. it was delicious - it was just firm enough. the lamb was tender and also delicious. the dishes were presented with sufficient intervals so that we could relax and enjoy the view, thefoodand the excellent wine. the chardonnay was served chilled and seemed lighter than we had tasted it in the tasting area, but, as our server promised, the flavour expanded the longer it was in the glass into a delightful chardonnay. overall it was an excellent experience.   it was not quite a 5 but closer to 5 than 4 so gave it a 5.

we went there saturday for dinner. thefoodwas absolutely fabulous. thank you to the chef adam beckett.
however, the service was really average. we did not have water in our glasses, the staff was not really friendly, there was a big spider web in the toilet and a lot of dust on the fireplace. i have been to a lot of fine dinning restaurants and did not expect to see this in that one. it is maybe small things but make a big difference especially when you pay minimum 150-200 per person.

probably a 4.5/5, really good experience

food 9/10.... allfoodwas beautiful, the pork belly was rich in flavor and crunchy, calamari was so soft and buttery and quite unique how it was done. the barramundi was the highlight, cooked with a beautiful char and amazing flavour. excellent wines as well!

service 10/10... great service from all staff andfoodcame out at good pace.

setting 8/10... has the potential to be a 10 but balcony outside was filthy with cobwebs everywhere which is a bit lazy, easy fix.

highly recommend

exceptionalfoodand service. a beautiful location with not to many people to cramp the enjoyment. the deck is a little bouncy when heavy walkers pass but that is a minor annoyance to an otherwise perfect sunday lunch. my only gripe was that my girlfriend didn’t leave a tip. we will
make sure we do next time👍😁

saw this place on one of the time out articles so decided to give it a try when we are in mornington area.

arrived on 1pm and it wasn't too busy. got seated straight away but no menu no "here is the wine list have a look". anyway after a bit of wait we got everything and ordered. the menu is quite short so it wasn't hard at all.

we got our entree at the same time we had the bread, while the butter was always on the table. that was probably the only complain. wish i had the bread a bit earlier. ok here it starts, we had the calamari, the pork belly and the tartar. omg can i say all of them were stunning, presented beautifully. and when i think this kindafoodwouldn't taste good just looking good, i was absolutely wrong. they were all with punching flavours and crunchy elements to make the dish super fun!

then we had the chicken breast, fish of the day (whiting) and the pasta. my chicken was so perfect and tender, flavour was so nice as well. the fish and pasta werent as perfect as my chicken but the other two enjoyed everything thoroughly.

couldn't finish 3 dessert so we shared one the eton mess and it was amazing! forgot to mention my pinot noir was so nice i bought two bottles for home!

will definitely recommend!!!
