pappas totaly sucks!. restaurant alert!!! my family and i attended pappas restaurant on taylor ave. for mother's day and had a totally disappointing experience. to start with there was a very limited menu with only the highest price dishes offered. with each meal you are allowed 2 side but had only 6 sides to choose from and 3 of them were potatoes (mashed, baked or french fries). then you could choose from either cold slaw, asparagus or apple sauce and that was the only sides and customer could choose.....yuk! no corn, no green beans, no cesar salad and if you ordered a steak you could not get mushrooms or onions either. to make matters worse we had reservations, we were seated promptly at 1:00 o'clock but it took over an hour to get our meal. the service all the way around was poor. we couldn't get a drink refill without asking for it and every request took an extended period of time to be filled. the portions were small and my crab cakes were not very good. our meals were extremely over priced. the creme of crab soup appetizer cost $4.99 and was maybe an 8 ounce cup. the menu never said it was only a cup. ok you got me, i should have asked. and it was not just us, the people at the table next to us were complaining to the waitress about the lack of crab meat in their over priced appetizer. the whole experience was sobadwith pappas exploiting the mother's day holiday with expensive meals and small portions that they will never get a chance at mine or my families business again. there is more but i'll stop here.
