paper fig desserts

the ambience was nice,staffamazing but food not so great. i ordered eggs your way, scrambled eggs with bacon, very basic and soggy eggs. we also ordered egg benedict, the hollandaise sauce had too much of mayo. coffee was good but the highlight of our morning was the desert which took a good 10 mins but worth it it's called the sweet retreat it made a mess like it left a pool if water on our table but that's okay because the desert made up for it, the chocolate mousse had layers ..crispy layers which was yummy.

we will come back for the desert and because of rue our server :)

ambiance: relaxing.

food: i had salmon and their signature hot chocolate. it was healthy, fresh, delicious and the presentation was awesome.

service: thestaffwere courteous

price: expensive. though it has a nice ambiance and fantastic food, it was still expensive for sharjah. this is the reason why i gave a rating of 3.5 instead of 4.

verdict: recommended.

outrageously expensive ... quantity is very less compared to the price they are charging.

coffee & hot chocolate ordered was cold by the time it was served.

no doubt the ambience is very good, nice for casual get togethers .

the cafe is so beautiful and theirstaffis so friendly and good..i tried their pink sauce pasta and its one of my favorite pasta in town and their chicken lemon was well cooked and delicious...i really loved food.. 9/10

we decided to visit paperfig after the lockdown for a friend's birthday but honestly the service was very poor.
we reached early and asked them to bring something as it was his birthday and they promised to but didn't do anything about it at all.
additionally, the tables were empty and we had to ask 3 times before they even brought us salt.

in terms of food i ordered the scrambled egg in croissant and their signature french toast along with a cappuccino which i asked to be brought with the meal. the croissant was average, nothing special to speak about but i did have to remind them twice about the coffee.
this brings us to the french toast which is heavenly. paperfig is rightly known for their french toast because that was quite clearly the highlight. while the strawberries served with it were sour, it was made up by the delightful maple syrup and whipped cream that accompanied the uniquely shaped toast.

when it came for the bill we once more had to ask them twice and wait until it was finally brought to us. considering the restaurant was half empty and it was a weekday morning, thestaffstill seemed very forgetful, slow and unfriendly which should be addressed by the management as soon as possible.

the yummiest breakfast i’ve had. it’s a nicely decorated restaurant with good ambience.staffwas very quick to respond even during rush time. the poached egg, ricotta cheese pan cakes and shakshuka all were finger licking good 😋😋 !!!

this place is a really cute cafe perfect for student study sessions and casual meetups. they also have books for you to read and the cafe itself is very much instagrammable. thestaffwas also very friendly, attentive and accommodating. as for the food, i ordered the nutella waffles and loved it. would definitely visit this place again!

lovely cafe/restaurant in the heart of university city - sharjah. 

nice warm welcome and escorted to a table. the cafe was pretty full at lunch time.

had the following

👍😋 grilled halloumi salad - got served a butternut squash, avocado, lentil salad instead - bit of a communication gap, but well handled by the waitingstaffby getting some grilled halloumi separately to go with this delicious salad - salad was a healthy portion, nicely put together and was well dressed and tasty. could have offered a slice of healthy bread to go with the salad.

👍 sangria - refreshing and well put together with a instagram worthy gimmick of having a test tube with dry ice placed in the beaker the drink is served in. the waiter comes and pours hot water in the test tube to have the smokey effect in and around the drink. only comment - it could have been a little less sweet.

the service was friendly.

👏👏 plenty of free parking available specifically for the cafe - which i found very convenient.

the server from the coffee bar was arguing with me after serving a very blunt salted caramel milkshake. the milkshake was just simply put milk and vanilla ice cream. i had raised this concern as a suggestion and the response i got from thisstaffmember was simply outrageous. he told me that salted caramel milkshake gets it's salty flavour only when you add coffee to it. he then went ahead to replace my drink by adding coffee to the said milkshake. this is clearly not the service we'd want to expect from a good restaurant.

if i had wanted a salted caramel milkshake with coffee, i would have ordered a salted caramel milkshake with coffee.

this was my first time at paperfig and i was very much looking forward to having some good food and a wonderful time. but i guess that will have to wait. hope my next visit to paperfig would do justice to their wonderful deserts. until next time

paper fig is a great destination for breakfast/brunch lovers.staffis humble n courteous. food is fresh, flavourful and the presentation is excellent.a must visit to this hidden gem is highly recommended.

we went there for breakfast on a friday morning. very peaceful and amazing food. we ordered the pancakes and loved it. thestaffwere very friendly and helpful too.

there is a lot to talk about this place. beautifully lit outside and pretty interiors, this is one restaurant you cannot miss. amazingstaffservice, and great food.

ordered the ricotta mushroom breakfast. packed with fresh ricotta, mushrooms, rocca leaves, and a poached egg all on a toasted ciabatta bread. so fresh and so delicious, but i’d expect that for a 50dhs dish 😁 latte for coffee never disappoints and theirstaffare super friendly, as always

this was my first visit. i had steak, it was one of the excellent steaks. nicely presented. i guess they will be perfect at their coffe & sweets. warm environment & lovely ambiance. i like the decorations & the fresh flowers on table. i am very obsessed with the smells, so your restaurant has great smell. thestaffwere excellent, very welcoming, so friendly & helpful. they were amazing. i recommend this place to everyone. easy access location through google map.
