the place was well lit-as i would want anicecream shop to be. they only have a few selection oficecream flavors. the place is really small that it can only accommodate 4-5 people but there's an outside area / smoking area which adds more space to accommodate more customers.
from what i remember, the staff's friendly and cheerful.

i got the tsokolate de cagayan which tastes like tabléa. it was superb. i loved it. i also got the other chocolate flavor (i forgot) but the staff told me it's the spicy chocolate whatever. it was also okay. i like the tsokolate de cagayan better though. :)

aside from learning that theiricecreams are made fresh everyday, they also have a csr initiative called scoop (we support communities out of poverty), where they will donate educational materials to public school where they source out their materials from local farmers.

that explains why the interior of papa diddi's is like a library: with books on the shelves and as accent to the lights!

with all these goodness we were getting from this place, we happily went for an indulgence at php 99. an indulgence means we get to choose three (3) flavors of their homemadeicecream so chose the ff:

-- peanut butter & jelly

-- tres leches

-- tsokolate de cagayan

all were brimming with flavor! i love the right taste of the peanut butter & jelly. tsokolate de cagayan has that perfect balance of sweetness. but what captured my heart prolly is tres leches.

so, what can i say? a responsible company that offers true-goodness desserts, i must say, guys (especially those living in the north), let's always go for papa diddi's! besides, their prices are very reasonable. way to go, papa diddi's!

they deserve my high-5!

enjoy eating,

ordered the roasted forbidden rice (the one a the bottom part) and farm cheese (with the cone on it).

for the sake of trying these all natural, freshly made goodnessicecream from a cow's milk, i am truly satisfied with what i had. it was the taste on my palette that words cannot put any expression. i'm so out of adjectives to describe or distinguish what's on theseicecream. but i believe that i've tasted coconut milk.. 😸

we went to their branch besides crepe man. they have a small space but looks so cozy and homey. the decorations and colors are so refreshing to the eyes. they have given really much thought into this place. this is not one of your averageicecream shops. i think they almost had everything you would look for in a place to unwind or chat with a good friend.

sink your teeth into delectableicecream, handcrafted with local flavors. each flavor is especially handcrafted and made from local ingredients; from cacao, mangoes, bananas, forbidden rice, everything. i like how natural their flavors are. you can seriously say that it's very creamy(no water crystals in between bites, always a good sign), and the flavors are meticulously thought of. they also have take-out pints you can enjoy at the comfort of your own home.

this place is quaint. it is quite small and can seat about 5-7 people inside but there is a patio area which is an area shared with other restaurants besides it. they use local resources which is a plus for me (support local farmers!). theiricecream flavors changes everyday.

i was able to taste test all the availableicecream they had that day. my favorite, and what i got was mother's love (panatcha flavor). i like that they have rather exotic flavors such as tarragon which is my next choice or the mango flavoredicecream with pili nuts. they also had a black riceicecream which i though was lacking in taste. the davao meets bicol (chocolate with chili) was another interesting flavor as well as the basil leaf. they have interesting names for some of theiricecream which gives them character.

for theiricecream sandwich, you can choose to have chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal, ginger, or peanut butter. it does not have to be the same flavors fpr both cookies as you can have 2. i liked the design on the plate. the price was good though do not get single scoop (unless you're on a diet).

staff seemed really nice and accommodating.

would have given a 5 but place was small inside, otherwise i really like this place. i would definitely come back.

finally had the chance to taste one of the besticecream stores in qc. i've been hearing about this place for months and was too curious why people love it so much. it was not a disappointment. i really enjoy their handcrafted flavors; that's what makes it special!

the place is adorable!! despite the small space it occupies in the restaurant complex, each space is used quite well--wall decor, ceiling lighting with books consistent with its csr program, posters about the thrust of the place, bar stools and little tables, and outdoor seating. a photograph of who i assume is "papa diddi" was on a high shelf.
the attendant was very nice and accommodating, and i like how this dessert place lets people do taste-testing. works well because the flavors are very unique. today, the selection oficecreams were davao meets bicol (hmm, relevant right now, wouldn't you say?), tarragon, basil, mother's love, tres leches, double chocolate, and peanut butter and jelly. i tried the davao meets bicol in the taste-test, but ended up getting a scoop each of pb&j and mother's love. the pb&j is a peanut-y flavor that is not nakakaumay (probably due to the swirl of jelly in the flavor?). the mother's love, on the other hand, is a kalamay-tastingicecream that reminds one of the experience of eating sundot-kulangot.
my boyfriend ordered a scoop of double chocolate, which was probably the best dark chocolate-tastingicecream i have ever had. i had a taste of his tres leches scoop as well--it was heavenly. creamy and filling, it provided a nice contrast to the double chocolate scoop. my boyfriend liked it so much, he said he would order a triple scoop of tres leches next time. from the looks of the tubs, the tarragon and the tres leches were best sellers for the day. maybe one day i'll try out the spice-flavoredicecreams, hehe.
i like the touch of putting a sugarcone on top of the scoops--very instagram-able and adorable as heck. i can't wait to come back and chance on some more of their flavors. i love how my experience at papa diddi's was cooling due to the frozen treat, and at the same time heart-warming because you know you're eating not just for yourself, but to help others as well.

update: tried cheese closed (cheeseicecream with cheese bits, okay lang); roasted forbidden rice (second best i've ever had, such a nice complex flavor with rice grains that are delightfully chewy); davao meets bicol aka best flavor ever (dark chocolate with an after taste of chili).

theicecream flavors here are very unique. i tried butterfly blue tea, roselle's embrace (hibiscus tea with cheese), and davao meets bicol, and they're delightfully rich in taste. if you're fond of frozen desserts which are not too sweet but reasonably satisfying and unexpectedly delicious, thisicecream parlor is a must visit.

food: after our sumptuous meal at steakfix, we had to look for something sweet. saw this along the road and it wasn't a bad plan after all. theiricecream flavors were unique as i haven't seen anything like them in the market. we got the mint one and it was very pleasing. for the time being, they don't serveicecream in scoops for sanitary purposes. but what's good is you get it in pint!

place: during gcq. strict quarantine guidelines and protocols are observed. they have a small space with limited tables but very cozy.

price: average to high.

i had a grueling, mind-numbing grad school class yesterday and all i wanted after was a pick-me-up, so i went straight to my favorite crepe cafe (i only found out yesterday that they have a branch in maginhawa) and was intrigued by theicecream shop beside it, so after going to crepeman, i went straight to papa diddi's.

i ordered 2 scoops (tres leches and tsokolate de cagayan) with a serving of peanut butter cookie and everything was good! 😍 staff is friendly and nice. the store was kind of quaint but cozy. parking can be a bit of a hassle but i was lucky enough to park just right outside their store.

oh! they're also in booky so better use it for great deals. 😁

whoever is the mastermind of creating papa diddi's, thank yooouuu! will definitely come back as often as i could to try all the other flavors. 😄

whoever papa diddi is, i would like to thank him a thousand times over! i love papa diddi'sicecream flavors. they're all truly handcrafted as there are no other places that sell the flavors they have. my personal favorite is tres leches; i would recommend anyone to try it. you can also purchase a pint if you would like to take one or two (or all) of the flavors home. i visit this place probably once every month and the flavor has not changed. 6/5 would recommend ❤️

this is one of my go-toicecream shops! i particularly love their tres leches and oatmeal flavors. although very creamy, they’re not too sweet for you to stop enjoying them. i also love their spicy chocolate flavor.

edit: if you’re a cheese lover, their cheese closed is a must try! it’s pack with cheese bits that will definitely satisfy your cravings. if you want a milld creamy cheese flavor, go for their queso blanco.
