pano's on elmwood

average. the food is decent and it is pretty inexpensive, but i agree with the other reviews that panos is just an average restuarant that everyone raves about.

good management, good value. i've been going to pano's since before they redid it, and they redid it beautifully. this is the most reliable restaurant in buffalo, with a great kitchen and hands-on management. even on the rare occasions that there's a problem, they handle it correctly. on my last visit, the beef skewers and rice were ice cold. not only did the manager appear almost instantly, he replaced the dish with a hot one and still took it off my bill. can't ask for more! i also love that no matter how adventurous a dish on the specials menu might seem, the kitchen always pulls it off with flair, and at a great price..

the last time i went to pano's it felt more like going to an old house, where a sun room had been turned into a seating area. over the last year, they have made some major improvements to the building. the inside has completely been revamped, new walls/bo

horrible experience! my husband and 2 year were seated right near the waitress work station when there were plenty of open tables. the table was dirty and when the waitress came to bring us silverware she put it right in the coffee puddle left from the previous customers. when the waitress came to take our drink orders she walked away without asking my husband what he would like. she came back a minute later and said "coffee and orange juice, right" "no" i replied " 2 coffees". since we were near the work station they kept opening the juice cooler and never even said excuse me. the servers are nice but very absent minded. the food was edible but i would never go back. i used to go to panos all the time in college. i've been back twice since, my last experience wasn't great and this was horrible so i decided to write a review. it's sad i used to love this place.

it is nice to see that pano has been stepping up his game over the years. there is always new decor, and the new lower layout is a lot nicer. i always get the falafel sandwich with red smashed potatoes. it isn't my absolute favorite falafel in town but it is always yummy and consistent which i appreciate. i really love the homemade greek dressing i always pour on top of my sandwich and the yummy crock pickle it comes with. panos will always be one of my lunch/dinner staples when you want a good meal for a reasonable price.

love this place. always switch between gyro or chicken souvlaki. great ambience, great service and sometimes parking could be a struggle. usually a once a month lunch/dinner thing for me and my wife.

great greek food, not a ton of variety however. decent prices, and a wonderful location. good spot for my girls and i to relax, eat, and catch up.

wow very impressed from its a big change from the restaurant it used to be year ago. we all change though. the food, has definitely made a huge improvement! i expected cheap diner eats with fluffiness. oh no was i surprised i omelets were huge and full, the home fries were full of flavor. unfortunately we only had time for a short breakfast, but i cannot wait to head back. its a lot pricier, all these improvements come at a cost.

rude and disrespectful.. decided to take a large group there to celebrate. called ahead and let them know.
service took exception amount of time. orders were not delivered properly.
the kicker: when asked waitress that was not our specific server to take a group photo she replied with the most rude and disrespectful comment i've ever heard as a restaurant, even peaking as former server, she said with the biggest stuck up attitude: "no, i have to get my table drinks." then blew us off. the restaurant was not even busy at the time. our table felt shocked. when confronted she replied with sarcastic remarks and got a manger who proceeded to then do nothing. this was how the staff reflected the establishment
that will be the last time i eat there.

first time. the service was a bit slow. the waitresses seemed to be enjoying a lot of chatting together . the food was good though. beautiful place inside. we would go again as long as we have time to wait.

ok but.... i've eaten at pano's for over 20 years - one might say i'm a "regular". the food is interesting and good but the prices continue to creep up and up, to the point that i now question the value. combine the increased cost with the fact that pano's is now jammed packed (especially at the bar, where i like to eat), i now find myself increasingly disappointed.

pano may consider himself successful and his restaurant popular but i think he runs a serious risk of becoming a passe destination on elmwood. i know that i'm seriously reconsidering y "regular" status there. it just ain't that much fun anymore.

amazing food and experience!!. we were travelling to the airport trying to find somewhere to eat and our gps found pano's. the food was amazing (i had a mushroom, spinach, chicken, sun dried tomato omelette and my husband had a gyro). being from chicago, we have had good food before. we were very impressed with the flavors, the tenderness of the meat, the service, etc. overall, an amazing experience!!

service poor. hostess made us wait 30 minutes in empty restaurant so she could twirl her hair and discuss television with bartender. food took a long time and was cold, dried out and overcooked. good choice for geriatrics or people who have time to waste and enjoy cold food.

fried calamari. its to die for, especially the sauce.

mediterranean pasta dish. has a lot of my favorite seafood items, and the high flavor taste from the seasons in my mouth.

horrible food now. used to be good, now bland and the service was horrible. not friendly at all.
