this place has good ambience and service. but the food taste needs to improve. i hadchickenbiriyani here and it was not that good. there is a mock train inside the retaurant and you can dine inside the train too which makes an exciting experience.

we went here on friendship day, so it was damn full we have waited for almost an hour to get a table except for that, the ambience was great. we had beach view corner ordered for somechickentikka (don't remember exact name) andchickenbiryani. when we have tastedchickentikka our grief of long waiting have melted down it was damn good with mint chuttney and biryani also tasted good. though we felt it's bit over priced it's been compensated well with beach view, ambience and taste...

not satisfied with the food.
had a non veg buffet here, the starter is very cold, few varieties. also there is no freshness in food. biryani is not tasty. desserts are also disappointing. main coarse mutton and chickenis good. overall it's disappointing.

located right in front of the sea, it is a good place for having lunch. i have had the buffet which has a decent spread. there's always achickendish and a fish fish. there are 2 soup varieties. they also serve rasam and buttermilk in the buffet.
the taste is also pretty decent for the price.

food taste is always good, whenever we visited this restaurant. yesterday, i had buffet for dinner, each and every item including salads, soup, starters, biryani, mirchi ka salan, noodles with vegetable sauce, pasta, south indian sambar, curries, dal and last but not least desserts is very delicious, i enjoyed a lot and which is why taking time to open this app and write review.
i am vegetarian and my favourite items among all are salads, they are perfect, i ate salads at start and end also, to taste them again. noodles with veg sauce comes next, it is spicy and tasty. next comes deserts, i liked fruit with rabdi first, then rajbhog.
coming to alacarte, my brother had specialchickenbiryani, he said it is too good.
i gave 0.5 less to 5 rating for service and ambience. they are good but i didn't find them extraordinary to give 5 rating. excluding them, i will give 5 rating to food

i would say, my recent experience with this restaurant was a big and bold bad. i've been to this place 7 times and on each visit i felt the quality got degraded in terms of food and service.

we reached the place by 9:45 pm yesterday, i asked if the kitchen is still open. the staff greeted us and showed us our table. since we are hungry after having a long day, we ordered a biryani which was also overpriced and ordered gingerchicken(which is not in the menu btw) for starters and kadaichicken(without looking into the menu). after he's gone with the order, i quickly went through the menu, only to find out that two of the things which we ordered were not in the menu. i called upon the waiter and asked, how did he take the order when it's not in the menu. the answer he gave was 'we have a lot of items sir, which are not listed in the menu' (i felt like he said 'whatever you may name it, we will serve a single dish').

and there comes the gingerchickenafter 15 minutes without any ginger flavor and more of chilies. damn, they are serving chillychickenfor gingerchickennow!!

next followed the biryani with rotten spices in it. yes, you read it right, a lump of rotten masala/spices is in the biryani and it is rotten (the onions may be), when i slid the spoon with that part in my mouth, i felt like chopping off my tongue with a red hot knife. i didn't create a scene there, by shouting at them or by refusing to pay the bill, as am not that kind of a person, i kept aside that part of biryani and had the rest of the rice with the salt-less kadaichicken(as i called it, since i really don't know what it is).

am not sitting completely on the darker side, about this restaurant, my previous visit was good, which was just one week earlier, food wasn't that great as it was on my first visit, but decent. and is this restaurant even star rated, i don't understand, why their prices are not regulated, a rs.20 soft drink can was billed for rs.65 (i.e. around 325% of rs.20), seriously? fine, am not going to comment much on regulations as i have little knowledge about them.

my view of a good restaurateur (or his/her staff):

-> never says that 'we serve more dishes than what we've listed in the menu'.
-> when a customer tries to order a dish that is not listed in the menu, says a 'no'.
-> never shows a scr (service charge) under/along with the extra charges, the customers would tip them, if they really liked the food, you don't leech out of them.

here's my verdict of all 7 visits, six of them being dinners and one being a lunch:

visit 1 : very good, 3.5/5 (buffet)
visit 2 : good, 3/5
visit 3 : good, 3/5 (buffet)
visit 4 : average, 2.5/5
visit 5 : average, 2.5/5
visit 6 : good, 3/5 (lunch, not a buffet)
visit 7 : bad, 2/5

pros:
-> beach view
-> ambience

cons:
-> gradually degrading food quality
-> pricing
-> service
-> menu

ps: please note that this review is based on my personal experience and i used zomato as a platform to share it. am not encouraging people/visitors to take this review as a sole basis to consider this restaurant.

to start with, full marks to the beach view. especially if you're seated at the corners facing beach, you will love it for sure. ambience is very well maintained and it appeals you.

coming to the food part, i had visited this place for both buffet & ala carte and my vote goes to buffet. having said that ala carte is not too bad but not wow as well. i also liked the continental food here. tried achickensizzler and it was rightly flavored with bbq sauce on my request and quantity was well proportioned. north indian food is just okay. buffet is worth enough to satify hungry tummy and delicious too.

soups and apetizers needs a slight improvement as they tasted salty/oily in all of my visits.

all in all, this place is must try for its view and good food. as said, do try for corner facing tables :) cheers!

it's been a long time i have been thinking to visit this place. looks to be a smart looking property on the famed beach road of vizag. my wife accompanied me to this place on a sunday afternoon and we had already made up our mind to have the buffet. the restaurant looked neat but the view is the one which will take your breath away!
      we took our seats and a gentleman promptly gave us the menu card, there seemed to be a lot of items.chickensoup was good, there was a veg soup too on the menu for the vegetarians. mutton biriyani,chickencurry and fish curry along withchickenmalai tikka kabab were the items on the non-veg fare. there were far more items on the vegetarian front but what caught my eye were salt and pepper seasoned fried okra, kadai paneer, veg biriyani, aloo gobi, an assortment of breads and a lot many others which come as a staple part of any buffet. there were salads, vanilla milk shake, butter milk in the spread too. the desserts were well stocked with gulab jamun, rabdi, balushai, pastries and ice cream along with the regular fruits. for the food, i would give a thums up and it was well worth the money spent! 4/5 for food.
         coming to the second half and that's the service, it was literally non-existent. we were given the menu card promptly and that's about it. the manager was constantly talking loudly and giving instructions to the rest of the staff conveniently disturbing the guests who were there. i don't think you should be yelling and instructing people in front of guests. that's not the service you expect in a star hotel. all in all, it looked like a fish market with the nuances of a star hotel missing especially when more guests started coming in. no feed back was asked for and there was an air of nonchalance among some of the staff who seemed to have been thinking that they were doing the guests a favor by simply standing there and staring around! 1/5 for service.
            all in all it's a place where you'll find good food but don't expect great service and you would be fine. the sunday buffet at 475+taxes is a decent spread and yes, ask for a water bottle as the replenishment for regular water might take ages..

we stayed at this place while our visit to vizag. the restaurant in one word - this is the best place i have been for a buffet at any south indian states. every thing about the buffet is awesome. starting from the spread, choice of items, overall presentation and taste. special mention of thechickenbiriyani - tenderchickenand aromatic rice which is at par with any biriyani joint in kolkata. even the south india veggies were so good that for a strict non vegetarian like myself had thoroughly enjoyed a sumptuous serving of sambar rice and veggies. also worth mentioning is the dessert - balusai, kheer chamcham, pastry, payasam, ice cream and fruits.
moreover at breakfast, the spread was insanely huge. south indian, continental, and normal everyday breakfast. totally enjoyed the sausages, stir fried veggies, sandwiches. it also had a live counter for serving dosa, eggs and bread.
i recommend this place both for staying and of course for hogging.
