a waste of money. been there twice just because friends brought me in and was hoping it has improved. but i was wrong. ambiance is so ghetto. food, i've tried other much better filipino restaurant. too expensive for the taste and the serving. food is served on a disposable styrofoam plate! you'll be given disposable plates and utensils. you may say it's like that in the philippines but that's not true at all. no one goes to a restaurants like that in the philippines, if they still exists. i've been to the philippines and their restaurants are much much better. this restaurant is way below par compared to other filipino restaurant in edmonton. just do some research.

am a filipino and pancit is one of my favorite filipino dish. i am humbly disappointed that pancit here tastes really very mediocre though the breakfast meals are good. hoping they could specialize more their pancit having taken their restaurant name from it.more power.

as a filipino myself, i think this my family's favorite filipino restaurant. it definitely reminds me of home. the owners are really nice and welcoming. i always go for their breakfast menu. i also think the portion sizes are fine from a filipino's perspective.

small portion, overpriced!. completely over priced. we ordered the "silog" items on the menu and expected a lot more. i guess we we've had waaaaaay better filippino food and this was just dissapointing. we also ordered an "off" menu item called "lumpia sariwa" (which is fresh springroll - vegetables wrapped in rice paper with peanut sauce) it was not only mediocre in taste but it costed us $9.00 for 1 piece! pretty ridiculous... safe to say we're never returning there again!

obviously, those "mobile reviews" aren't reliable. i'm sure those people didnt make an urbanspoon account just for panciteria de manila because that would be a compliment. and i'm also sure there are other restaurants they don't like. so weird because i actually like this place. food is cheap for the amount you get. i mean go somewhere else and you'll be paying more. also they taste like "filipino" food. if you don't like filipino food then don't say anything bad about it. if you're not filipono, then don't be so judgmental because it'll taste different from your usual food. their breakfast dishes are my favourite.

come and enjoy filipino food downtown!. my wife and i are moving to the philippines soon and when we heard a filipino restaurant had opened downtown we decided to try it. the owner lorena, greeted us warmly and helped us decide on an order of pork adobo with spring rolls on rice and pancit bihon (noodles). the place was clean and brightly decorated with lots of posters and pictures of the philippines. the food came quickly and it was delicious and comforting on a cold winters day. the price is very reasonable and i got a nice large plate of rice covered with pork adobo, tomato, egg and green onions. i especially enjoyed the cut up pieces of spring roll. my wife also enjoyed the simple and savory taste of the pancit bihon. later lorena came to our table and was very happy to talk to us about the philippines and answer any questions we had. we were touched by how incredibly open and friendly she was. i look forward to coming back soon and trying new dishes and maybe enjoying some karaoke and a red horse (or two!).

it was a big disappointment! weve read an article in edmonton journal and thought yo give it a try. they said they are fastfood resto but took 35 minutes for our order to come! not only that the food was cold, dry and tasteless! it looks like it wad left overs. their garlic rice is no garlic at all, its called soy sauce rice! they messed up our orders with another table and wants us to pay for it. beware with their sago at gulaman its 3/4 the ice! this so called "fastfood" resto needs a huge improvement!

good eats. great place for a quick and tasty lunch just off 97 st in downtown. the room is simple yet well-kept, looks far nicer than in the 'noodle maker' days!
the friendly owner greets and helps your way through the filipino menu. basically there are 3 kinds of meals: pancit or noodle dishes, and two kinds of rice -based meals which come with your choice of meat/fish as well as salad and a fried egg!
overall, a great addition to a not-so-great part of downtown. hope to see this little place succeed and thrive!

excellent asian filipino food. got intrigue with the good comment regarding this restaurant. my friend and i went there to check. but we were totally blown away by the place. they have totally renovate it. have nice colors with an eccentric wall. the place focuses / promotes their country the philippines, the food was excellent especially the tapsilog (forgive me if i spelled wrong) with good vinegar sauce. great price, affordable for anybody. but most of all the warm welcome by the owners.
they should be given a commendation by the consulate for promoting their country.
i recommend also the halu-halu, great cold dessert.
we highly recommend this place.

i never heard about this place til my cousin told me. i was excited to go because the name panciteria de manila sounds very aunthentic filipino cuisine. she sent a photo of what she ordered and i couldn't clue in what kind of dish/menu. it was fried rice, chicken, egg, onions and tomato. she said it's "chicken adobo". well, the chicken looks like skillet, and clearly the rice is the adobo, too much color/soy sauce, doesn't look appealing at all! photo says it all... not going to try and waste money for a garb. and i heard customer service is the worst.

i was very disappointed with this restaurant. i was expecting great things because of the reviews already posted. first of all, it took almost 25 minutes for me to get my food, and my food was cold. i honestly wanted to ask for a microwave to warm it up. the chicken adobo was dry and tasteless. nothing like i've ever tasted. the food was way overpriced for the quality. i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, in fact i will tell people not to go here.
