bland and expensive. thefoodlacks flavor and the price should be cut in half because of it. the calamari tastes like it was fried in the same oil as the fish. the snapper had the flavor taken out of it or it wasn't a fresh slice. the pasta was just plain. the complementary breads (3 different types) were the only highlight when it came to the food. the service was good and the atmosphere is nice but thefoodtotally wasn't worth it.

crowded and a little pretentious but very goodfoodwhich is most important. i had a delicious pasta shrimp dish and my wife had a huge salmon filet. timing a bit off on drinks, apps, entrees but they were at least fast. overall, i would go back. one note- the bartenders did not know how to make a standard mixed drink i wanted. sidecar. kind of odd. i did not know it was such a strange request. it's brandy, grand marnier, and lemon juice shaken in a martini glass with a sugar rim. yet they made my wife an expert martini.

thefoodwas great! first was the complimentary bread basket that a nice variety of 3 kinds of breads. don’t know what they were, but the fruit and nut bread had a nice balanced flavor. next was the special salad with artichoke hearts and avocado topped with creamy like vinaigrette. again, a great balance of savory flavors. then the main course lobster pasno. croquet prepared lobster served on a bed of spinach and angel hair pasta along with a crab cake served on a bed of apple jicama slaw with a side of garlic bread. definitely one if the best seafood dishes i have had. the lobster, pasta, and crab cake came out freshly prepared and hot. and the crab cake with the slaw was incredible. the freshness of the slaw went so well with crab cake i almost forgot i had lobster on the plate. in addition, it was my wife’s bday, she got a complimentary dessert- chocolate bread pudding with a candied banana and scoop of vanilla ice cream. well prepared, the bread was moist and went very well with the banana and ice cream. the service was also great. the waiter, joe, was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. my only gripe- noise level. very loud environment for such great fine dining dishes. other than that, it was a great experience. i will definitely be considering this place for future special occasions.

i haven't been to this gem in awhile. i started off with the calamari. i did not like them . i love calamari , believe me i do . i did not like the calamari here . they were fried . i didn't like the batter they used or the calamari itself . for my entree i got the seafood alfredo which was delicious. the pasta was perfectly cooked . all of the seafood ( shrimp, scallops, oysters ) were also cooked to perfection . the sauce (eyes rolling in the back of my head ) was divine . the bread that's served when you first arrive is excellent . they give you 3 different types of bread to nibble on . my favorite is the one with raisins in it . if you're an italianfoodlover i'd definitely go here . i'll be back

we had our xmas party here and i ordered the pork from our limited menu, so i wasn't sure what i was getting, when they brought thefoodout it was a massive ham hock or ham shank depending on where you're from, the meat was tender and falling off the bone, turned out to be a great meal

who doesn't love butter and garlic? we all do. but like an elicit encounter with someone or something that is otherwise forbidden, you might really enjoy yourself at the time, but you're going to feel bad afterwards, especially when you have time to think about it. thefoodis usually tasty and well-presented, but i can't ever stop thinking that if you put enough butter on just about anything you can make it edible. i just don't need an extra million calories from fat in one meal when better choices are available. drinks with dinner will easily put your dinner for two over $100.00, and paesano's loses points with me on that one. parking is poor, and the open kitchen (bistro style) coupled with poor interior design means the noise from a full house makes conversation near impossible.

very good qualityfoodbut a little pricey; decent portions! nice variety of menu options; entire facility is very pristine; excellent waitstaff; you can get comparablefoodat for a much lower price at pesto restaurante' on judson rd. word on the street is that the owner of pesto was the executive chef at paesano's for over fifteen years prior to opening his own restaurant. as a result, thefoodselection and quality is equal to or better than paesano's. enjoy!

a great place to eat. we travel for work and eat at paesanos every time we make it back home to san antonio (which is every three to four months). service is always great no matter how busy the restaurant is. thefoodis always delicious. i order one of the chicken dishes while my husband never strays from the shrimp paesano. the meal always begins with their bread and olive oil. it's so good that my mom requests that i send it to her out of state. we never leave hungry or have room for dessert.

comran this was the worst waiter i ever had. this place gets excellent reviews and i'm sure its great but our service was terrible. the waiter (comran) rushed is through everything. continually interrupted our conversation took our plates before we were finished without asking never asked if we liked ourfoodor wanted a dessert (which we did) and then complained about the tip we left. if you ever go here and he is your waiter just leave.

cheap restuarant, expensive prices. 10 diners crammed into the space for 6, not enough bread on the table (8 pieces), no napkins for drinks, waiters asking "who ordered the xxx?" no space between us and the table behind us, so the waiters had to stick thier arms in front of diners faces to be able to serve. unappetizingfoodpresentation and thefoodquality was definatly not worth the price paid. it felt like the restaurant was cutting corners and trying to do everything on the cheap while still charging all the diners “fine dining experience” pricing. i will never return to paesanos & will recommend against it to anyone who asks me.

not worth it. i am a vegetarian, and thefoodwas ok. however, the service was terrible. i had to ask everything twice. i ordered the desert but left without eating because i was so irritated by their service. i would not go back even if thefoodwas free.

don't believe the hype. i just had dinner here with a colleague at the suggestion of the concierge in our hotel, and to say the experience left us both disappointed would be an understatement of epic proportions. the service was average and thefoodis overpriced for what it is, and that is average as well. i ordered the arugula salad and the margherita pizza, while my colleague had the chicken parmesan with a side of pasta and the house salad. his meal appeared to be something out of a chain restaurant kitchen, the pasta covered in a very basic sauce and the chicken cooked to the point of being dry and tough. my pizza could have been something from the freezer aisle at your local grocery store, the crust was dry, there was too little sauce, too much cheese, and the basil appeared to be something they sprinkled on top while thefoodwas headed to the table. to be fair, he enjoyed the house salad which was a mixture of lettuces with a dressing he described as their take on caesar. the arugula salad was also decent but it was very basic with goat cheese as the only topping. i don’t know what the other restaurants in the area have to offer but i would suggest you figure it out and bypass this place altogether.
