greatsoulfood at an affordable price. when you first walk in you're greeted by friendly smiles by the owner and her helpers and they even go the extra mile and thank you for visiting them/giving them a try. the food is mostly expertly cookedsoulfood like your grandma would make, all made fresh to order. they give huge portions for the price that you pay as well. there are daily plate lunch specials that run $6 and usually have 2-3 different things to choose from plus you get two sides with your meal from a choice of about 10 or so fresh side items. they also have a quite extensive menu of po-boys, burgers and seafood boxes. their shrimp po-boy has huge real gulf shrimp that are perfectly fried, seasoned well and juicy(see photo) and only costs $6.19, i definitely recommend it if it's your first stop in. the truck driver cheeseburger po-boy is huge as well (see photo) for only costing $6, the ground beef patty on it tastes a lot like a good quality flavorful and juicy meatloaf, so if you like meatloaf you'll definitely like this burger. their chili cheese fries ($2.49) are great as well, kind of reminds me of chili cheese fries at rally's or checkers if you've ever been there, and of course you get a good size portion well worth the price. since everything is made fresh to order all of it was still hot and fresh by the time i got home, the fries were even crispy still even though they were covered in chili and cheese. will definitely be back.
