great lunch. delicioussandwichesincluding the famous duck confit grilled cheese. the shrimp po-boy may have been one of the two or three best that i have ever had. the side special of the day was multi-grain orzo salad, which was delicious. all for less than $10.

sandwiches galore!. tried olio for the first time last week! i can never make it there since i work during the day :( home made fries with the basil aioli dipping sauce were amazing!! i opted for the duck confit grilled cheese, my hopes were high since it was up for best grilled cheese. i enjoyed the sandwich but didn't really know why it was a contender for "best grilled cheese" it needed a little more flavor, but it was still tasty! the others i were with had the steak and cheesesandwicheswhich were so good- the best in jacksonville! i loved the gouda cheese that was on it and the crispy edges :) will be back when i have a day off!

duck confit! i'm a believer!. we saw this on bestsandwichesin america by adam richmonds on the travel channel. the duck confit grilled cheese did not win his contest but it is my new favorite. it is decadent! i am sure it is 2500 calories but o my god, you have to try it.

we had the bacon cheese fries and they were very, very good! if i lived closer than 2 hours i would be there every week!

duck grilled cheese..mmm. thesesandwichesare excellent. i am in jacksonville on business for a few days and this place was recommended. i am glad it was. "duck confit, green tomato, gruyere, american cheese on sourdough bread." very tasty sandwich. i sampled the hot italian which was also very good. olio is the place to go forsandwichesdowntown.

when i can spare the time for lunch, one of my favorite downtown spots is olio market . they have an impressive list of creativesandwiches(my favorite food) with fresh ingredients that aren't hard on the wallet. i've visited a number of times in an attempt to eat my way around the menu-i find it a good sign that there are still things i want to try. olio is usually only open for breakfast and lunch, but i got to try them for the first time during their special extended hours for jacksonville's downtown art walk . i opted for the pork cuban (smoked pork, ham, dijonaise, swiss, house pickles, cuban bread), and mario decided to try the burger cheese, bacon, and fried egg: cuban burger i found the bite of mario's burger that i tried a tad greasy (as i have felt about a sandwich or two since), but he loved it. my cuban was delicious, and had the multiple flavors and textures i love in these sandwiches. olio's fries and basil aioli are quite unique. i wish the fries were a thinner cut (the

great place. i love the ambiance, décor, and menu of this new downtown restaurant. i tried the shrimp & scallops platter, though wish i had tried one of thesandwichesthat appeared to be a better choice. as far as the seafood, it was pretty good, 6 large fried shrimp and 4 large scallops with delicious fries and a fresh spicy coleslaw. the tasty shrimp were cooked just perfectly, though the scallops were too salty to enjoy. one suggestion not related to the food, beware of trying to put your lid on the flimsy cups, i was not the only one wearing my soda out of there.

olio - quick gourmet lunch plus daily desserts, yay!. i've eaten here now several times and can honestly say that their desserts (loved their fudgy brownie and lemon cake), fresh salads (the one with mozz and basil and house salad with champagne vinaigrette), soups (bisques are good here), andsandwiches(pork and chix bahn mi) are just what downtown needs. most meals are under $10. love the homemade ginger drink - i add a little sprite as well as club soda to sweeten it a bit and stir well or else you get strong ginger syrup at the bottom! love, love, and across the street from courthouse, bonus.
