great and ok. have had pastries from olga's many times and they are outstanding. easily among the best in the area.

had brunch there today. my cappuccino was outstanding.

found the menu appealing with about nine interesting choices. only exception i'd take is that their view of a medium poached egg and mine differ. based on what we were served and what they brought to my two companions for replacements, they believe medium to have 1/8 to 1/4 inch of set yolk which is a little dry for my taste. next time i'll ask for less cooked.

light lunch w/ good atmosphere. my pals and i wanted a nice light lunch and they couldn't of brought us to a better spot. the weather was perfect for the outdoor seating they had to offer and all the gardening work and flowers made the atmosphere delightful.

i got the turkey sandwich with killer honey mustard, other dining pals got the panini of the day (the cuban), the croque madame and a breakfast sandwich with homefries. i opted for the chips but will definitely get the cole slaw next time because it was made with shredded red cabbage and had a vinegar dressing.

the smell of their baked goods lured me inside and it just goes to show that freshly baked bread makes all the difference for a winning sandwich.

good coffee, great cupcakes. you can sense the quality in baking and the finished products. location is good. you can sit inside or out. the only downside is it is not open long hours. i highly recommend it.

tucked into a tree shaded corner on point street in the historic jewelry district of providence, olga’s courtyard garden offers a reprieve from the hub bub of the nearby city.   when you’re a met with a backdrop of freshly baked breads upon entering a store you know you’re in a place of bakery brilliance. using artisan techniques and creating everything by hand, authentic and traditional is the name of the game at the cup and saucer.   among the varieties adorning the bakery wall are: kalamata sicilian olive sourdough, rosemary olive oil, golden raisin fennel as well as traditional sourdoughs, pillow bread and multigrain offerings.winners of the edible rhody 2013 local hero award, olga’s credentials are a widely known and long standing in the providence community having established the current bakery in 1997.   serving breakfast, lunch and a weekend brunch, a visit to olga’s is not complete without an oat, chocolate chip and pecan ‘cowboy cookie’ whilst sitting in the courtyard garde

it is difficult to find a place in the north east that can manage southern food. olga's is an unexpected treat. the drip biscuits and grits are fantastic. not your bland instant grit, but flavorful, smooth, creamy and cheesy grits with an herbed biscuit and poached eggs. staff is friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

seriously good food. great atmosphere. the outside garden seating at olga's is quaint and inviting. when i walked inside, however, my first thought was that they ran out of budget to do any further decorating. but then i sat down. my wife i and i were seated at a tiled bistro table in a bright window and something settled in--a relaxed, light, airy feeling. i opened the menu and i knew the food was going to be good. i really wish i could have sampled everything, but i settled on the polenta and egg with a side of bacon and a cup of coffee.
the simplicity of olga's is a breath of fresh air. their success in creating a lovely place to sit, talk and eat seems effortless. a bit of artful flavor added to the garden-patio environment and i sort of felt like i was on a little vacation. it is communal in its very nature and my wife and i enjoyed every bite of our food. it was delicious and all we wanted to do was sit there all day and sip coffee and talk.

as for the service, it was casual and plain. nobody was overly bubbly but i did not feel neglected either. honestly, the staff sort of fades to the background bit. and somehow, i was perfectly fine with that.

brunch - it's a cool place, but the food is only ok. i wouldn't go out of your way to check this place out.

it's good but staff is most of the time rude. its a good bakery, with good artisanal products and coffee, however i've been there three times and all three times. staff was rude, careless and with an attitude. that's sad as it's a cute place, and having a wonderful friendly and trained staff would make this place a 5 star experience
